. cheers. We had been planning for a trip to Ooty for very long but a trip 'together' never happened even though most of us made it seperately
. However, the trip finally happened and turned out to be one of our best trips. Blog entry here
I have also made a short video of our trip. watch it here:
It was pure adrenaline rush once we entered the Gundulpet - Masinagudi road. Trust me guys, you would love this road to every bit. To be honest, we were speeding little too much but I am not here to argue about the 'rights' and 'wrongs' of speeding. I simply won't believe in the conventions and yeah I have had my share of accidents in case if you are about to say 'once you meet with an accident you will know'. For those people who don't waste the precious moments of their life worrying about things that don't really matter, I suggest, twist your throttle and enjoy the roads (given that you are a responsible rider. know your limits. there is no way you can take curve at 90Kmph if it is designed to handle only up to 80. I hope my stand is clear
). Ooty was as always beautiful and I am not writing much about ooty since I have already posted about it in a different thread. However, I am posting the photos of new places I visited this time. Ooty never ceased to amaze me each time I visited and there are many more places to explore in ooty even now. Those who haven't yet gone to ooty, please, go here soon
.The picture below is a farmhouse of a family friend of my fellow rider and this place was the best we visited this time. This is an acre of private land right in the middle of the forest and the scenic view, I don't have to say anything more as you can see it for yourself. However, riding bikes here is not so feasible since the roads are steep and slushy. we hired a jeep to go here and the ride on its top was totally worth it.
Bit of wild life while we were traveling to the farmhouse. That is a flying squirrel (Jumps from trees to trees but really long distances).
View from Kodanad view point
That is the view of 'Catherine falls' but there was no water since we went in the dry season.
Those tiled stretches can be slippery at times. Be careful.
Guys I want you all to go to this place called 'Earl's secret' in ooty. The place is very expensive but you have to go there and try the brownies here. They are amazing delicacies. and it is perfectly isolated from all the hustle of ooty and it is on top of a hill and is perfectly calm and peaceful. try this place once.
How can the trip be complete if we don't hitch a ride in the nilgiri express
