Re: Xbhp Bbsr Independence Day Ride: Trip To Khandadhar & Keonjhar
Khandadhar is the 12th highest waterfall in India at 800ft.
In Keonjhar we visited Sanghagra, Sitabinji, Ravan Chaya, Ma Tarini, Gundicha Ghagi. We missed out Brahmeswar mahadev Temple & Gupta Ganga in Gonasika [Cos of morning rain], King Palace [due to stupid dog handler], United car company workshop [as the owner was present in Cuttack]
Total distance covered from Bbsr 700 km
No of rider - 6
4 Bikes, 1 car
Day -1
Route Map - https://www.google.co.in/maps/dir/Ra...21.6312657!3e0
We started from Cuttuck at 6AM. We came cross these numerous pilgrimage on there way to different Siva Shrine.
On our way to Dhenkanal
We mistakenly trusted a young local guy and took a short-cut. Darn
Waiting for car. " Are bhai kahan gaya kahi aisa to nahi ki use aur koi short cut mil gaya "
45 min road turned into a 2 hrs struggle.
Finally we got out of that maze. Road after Pitri opened up & so did our throttle.
Reached Dadraghat Reservoir
Waiting for Sajal Bhai
Siddhant overshot the location and had to come back
Nice road all the way
Ahem Ahem: mutton
First sight of Khandadhar. We were as far as 4-5 km.
Hockey match on full swing. In our state it's more popular than other sports

2-3 km of gravel and dirt road
Reach at 1:30 PM. Distance covered 262 km.
Hell of a kind of Caterpillar. Jisne touch kar dala life jhinga la la.
2 Km hike begins from here.
This Usain Bolt couldn't make it the top
. Also we meet two young bikers Anirban Mahanta & Parambir Dash from Bonai.
Those steep steps. Every 50 metres we were taking break
After some point one has to follow tracks and climb rocks.
We did it
Finally on the top. Yes Sajal Bhai & Sandeep again beat us to the top.
We also hoist our Flag
Back to base
Good bye to Bonai guys. Drove though Ghats and reached Keonjhar Pantha-Nivas at 9 PM. Total distance covered for the day 423km

Re: Xbhp Bbsr Independence Day Ride: Trip To Khandadhar & Keonjhar
Day 2-
Route map - https://www.google.co.in/maps/dir/OT...20.2952568!3e0
Next Morning in Pantha-Nivas
On way to Sanghagra
And again the climb beings
To our relief its was a small one
Hard working photographer
Sandeep got a big disappointment after he read the sign "YOU CANT BATH HERE"
Rain started to play the spoilsport
On our way to Brahmeswar Mahadev Temple & Gupta Ganga [Gonasika forest]
They were having fun here, where as 5km ahead, I & Taufique were standing in rain in middle of nowhere
Few pics form web about what we miss.
Starting point of river Baitarani
We came back had our breakfast and checkout of hotel
Lake beside the main door of old King's Palace
King's old Palace.
P.s - they should hire a better Dog handler
Few pics form web about what we miss
On our way to Sitabinji
Sitabinji aka Sitabhandhar - Situated on the river Sita, the spot has gained prominence for the ancient fresco painting on a rock shelter called "Ravan Chhaya" which is like a half opened umbrella. The painting depicts a royal procession.
Ravan Chaya
Painting on the ceilings
The painting is done on the ceiling which is more than 2 storeys high
Support column had been installed. A cement fin had been made to stop rain water sipping in.
World strongest man
Surpnekha
These are yet to be decoded.
4km of off-roading and then on our way to Ma Tarini Temple.
Reached the Temple premises.
Ma Tarini Temple
Gundicha Ghagi Waterfall
In between our bikes getting some undue attention
20 km to reach Dubri.
Smooth sailing till Dubri. Didn't expected the state highway to be 4 lane. One can easily maintain 140+ kmh here.
After Dubri the road is kind on off till Chandikhol. This is the last pic thanks for watching
Cheers
Total distance cover for the day 270 km
