  • [Photo Feature]: Vizag(Few must visit places by riders, drivers and photographers)

    Hello All,

It's been six years since I have been in Vizag and I am still discovering this beautiful city and what I am about to share is only the beginning.

I won't bore you guys with much of a write up, but will give you a nice tour around Vizag and specially for people who are planning to visit this place, will have a great ride rather than visiting the usual RK beach and Rushikonda Beach.

Sadly there are next to none pictures of this beautiful city in Xbhp, So here I am posting a few and hopefully in coming years this place is developed more and with new and better roads for the riders and drivers to enjoy it equally.

So to start with....this is a road that sadly the Xbhp gang has missed while visiting Vizag during there G2G meets, and which is just a small detour from beach road on the way towards national highway and Srikakulam. (Would have been awesome to see pictures of the evoque and Suzuki's on this beautiful road and background)

    Hope you enjoy,,,,,

These are few of the pictures I managed to recover from my old hard disk which got corrupted and will post more when I get back my back up hard drive, this place is IT park, Rushikonda, Vizag.

    Thread Approved

    Thanks a lot for this

We did stay at Rushikonda Beach in Vizag. Harita Beach Resort, if i am not mistaken. And we did take the beach road which then entered a village before we rejoined the highway.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Hey The Monk, thanks for the approval.

I think you guys may have took the road behind GITAM college or MVP road.

This road most people don't use or don't know of, mostly because its a area full of IT company buildings and new apartment constructions.

I myself found out when I visited this place to give interview at a company :banghead: .

Will post more pictures tonight with relevant details, till then enjoy the view :

Vizag(Few must visit places by riders, drivers and photographers)

So the next location is Rushikonda, I know it is a very common known place but just to jog the memory of team Xbhp of there visit to Vizag:

This road is a bikers paradise all the way upto Dr. Ramanaidu studios and beyond, but be careful as they have added a few speed breakers at some high speed turns.

It was a beautiful place once but due to recent cyclone Hud Hud and people throwing garbage everywhere, sad to see such a nice beach destroyed.

There is also a man made extension of the beach which is pretty cool and dangerous also(for the adrenaline junkies), I don't have the picture right now but will update by this weekend.

Directions: well it is a famous place so I hope google will be able to help you here.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Next on the menu is Yarada (actually there are two parts of this place), So part 1:

This road is some what like mini lavasa but with half the road width, length and triple the danger. Hopefully my pictures do justice to this place.

This road is one of the roads which leads to not so popular and very far away Yarada beach, I love this place but as I said its far and length of the road which is enjoyable is just 6 km and to reach it you have to go through some of the worst traffic.

I envy our Indian navy in this regards as they have occupied some of the very best tourist locations in Vizag and one of them is this place (but because of them this place is isolated and perfect for weekend getaways), Respect to our Indian armed forces for keeping us safe.

        Now for the directions:

Hey thanks Anupam for the appreciation and I actually put up the pics and this thread after reading one of your adventures "Xbhp Bbsr Trip To Deomali, Highest Peak Of Odisha", so you too have inspired me to put this thread up.

When you visit Vizag and need help finding these places do not hesitate to contact me.

One more thing I like to ask you is, if one want to visit Dolphin nose, can we take ferry from Ross hill to dolphin nose or one have to go around the port. please have a look at the route map - https://www.google.co.in/maps/dir/Ku...1446!3e0?hl=en

Hey Anupam, I posted new place to the thread but the pictures where a mess in the post, anyways here I am again will try to post in a better format.

Regarding the route you found, I am not getting time bro to check it out and I sold my pulsar 180 and awaiting for the damn KTM rc 390 to arrive so temporarily out rides.

So 3 weeks since last update :

Recently to make a memorabilia with my beloved pulsar 180 did "one last ride" and the place of choice was Aruku valley (had little to no sleep and no food, was a impulsive ride):

Its a beautiful place and people who have not visited here, to give you an "Idea" its some what like Ooty and Himalaya (Okay that might me little over exaggerating ).

Basically its a hill station near a coastal area, I love Vizag because of the variety of geographical and topographical places it has to offer that too in short distances like with in 100 kms..!!!

These pictures were shot just after crossing S.kota :

This road is the most crowded but equally beautiful, but if you like "lonely roads" the detour towards the so called water fall route is best :

I am not posting the route map because this place is a maze and half of the routes are not visible in google maps, word of caution only Airtel and Bsnl network are working in this area and that too signal is scarce.

It is between 4-8km from rishikonda towards bheemili Road. These both places are of historical interest, there lies ruins of Buddhist settlement dated between 4 AD to 9 AD. Photo link and root map inserted below
