      Day7&8: Madurai to Rameshwaram

      Day 7:

If it is Madurai, then Meenakshi Amman Temple is the first touring spot. Morning at 7 am I went to temple and spent around 2 hours in temple itself. Then by 10am I was in hotel room and I got to do a college session in Ultra college of Engineering for Women at 2:00 pm. So till then I was doing calls to other location SPOCs to confirm the session schedules in the colleges. Around 1:00pm I went to college and the session went till 4:00pm and I know it’s going to be a night ride to Rameshwaram. As per the plan I supposed to reach Rameshwaram by 6:00pm but due to little change in the college session timing I have ridden the state highway during night. It was very difficult because of opposite high beam lights. Yes, from Madurai to Rameshwaram It will be a state highway. Roads are not great but ok to go. There will be no any dangerous potholes and also it was slight drizzling at that time. By luck whenever I was riding it will be only drizzling and after I reach the destination the heavy rain starts. It was purely on luck. Somehow managed to reach Rameshwaram by 9:00 pm. JCI member of Rameshwaram got his own hotel which made me to reach the hotel safe and in time without any struggle. After a short intro, discussion and dinner I went for a sleep.

Day 8: After a quick meet with JCI memebers in Rameshwaram, my ultimate destination to explore was Dhanushkodi which is 22 kms from Rameshwaram and it is the extreme end of the east Tamilnadu and from there it is 18 kms to reach SriLanka by sea route. Instead of explaining in the words,

Let all comes as a Pics,

Thought of going to SriLanka by motorbike since its 18 kms from here and Sea water level is very low but I got stuck in no humans land (Dhanushkodi), struggling a lot to get out, anybody help me please.

Very well executed photographs. It's evident that you have spent a lot of time with the snaps. Beautiful!

          Day 9,10 & 11 - Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari - Dindigul

After a long off-road ride in the Dhanushkodi beach went back to Rameshwaram hotel room and got refresh and of course water service for my bike as well. It was around 6:00 pm then I have decided to reach Thoothukudi on the same day itself. I know it’s going to be a state highway and I have done the same route two years back and at that time roads were very bad but came to know that it’s good now. With lot of doubt I have started riding and yes the roads were clean, smooth and straight. Though it was a state highway I haven’t seen much traffic and it was awesome ride puttogather with night heavy wind and slight drizzling. Reached Thoothukudi around 9:00 pm and I went to my cousin house. I have stayed there for another day that is Day 8 night I have reached and Day 9 I stayed there and Day 10 I went to Thiruchandur Temple that is 50 kms from Thoothukudi. So as per the plan Day 9 I got a college session which postponed to Day 11 that is on Monday. So I stayed and went to Kovilpatti college on Day11. Mean while I have washed my t-shirts, jeans, jackets and other clothes.

Day 11: Day 11 was a long ride. From Thoothukudi I went to Kovilpatti and on the way I have visited ‘MahaKavi Barathiyar’ House (Freedom fighter and Poet) then it was a college session and after that I have started riding to Kanyakumari. As per the plan I supposed to stay in Kanyakumari but I thought to ride till Dindigul. It was 505 kms ride on that day. That was the long distance I have ridden in this ride. The whole ride shows different kind of landscapes and roads. The slang of Tamil language changes to every few districts. The full experience was so different this time.

          Rest all comes as Pics,

hey bro Pulsar AS is a very good bike,if you want to own that then you can happily proceed, but if you want to upgrade then it will not be the proper bike from R15. Donnot go by cubic capacity go by the performance of bikes becoz on any given day R15 is better than 200 AS or NS in terms of top speed, power delivery, handling road grip etc .According to me go for a minimum 300 cc plus 40-45 bhp power bike.

Did u say power delivery and top speed is better on r15 ?![emoji15]
"At any given day " NS/AS can easily outperform r15 in terms of raw power and top speed....!!! [emoji57]

In terms of refinement and handling r15 is better because its a track oriented machine[emoji1]

ya in terms of top speed r15 out performs it you can check in top levels automobile magazines like bike india, over drive or at least ride both the bike and compare becoz i think you have not ridden r15.

acceleration wise r15 may lag behind becoz of its low torque and cubic capacity deficiency.Simply if any body want to upgrade from r15 then a 300 cc 40-45 bhp power bike.Only for a mere improvement in acceleration simply buying another bike will be a waste of money.Upgrade means better performance, better handling, better dynamics, better road grip, and offcourse better looks any way bro nice travelougue
