, as our plan for a ride got cancelled a day before. I just wanted a day off from home, it was really boredom sitting idly at home. Not happy with the vacation, anyhow i decided to ride to my friend's home a short stretch around 25 km.(kayamkulam to karunagapally)It was a fine morning, i gave him a call to know about my arrival, at that time he was returning from college(kollam) to his home. The plan was for a slow ride as we both could reach home at the same time, but he got stuck and I was too early, so I decided to pick him up from kollam(25km more from his home). When I reached there, he was waiting for me at the bus stop, he just smiled an said, anyway we are at kollam now and punaloor is near by, want to see the suspension bridge
?When it comes to ride i rarely give a no for an answer

. Checked the money we had, fueled up ma steed and "The Sudden Trip began. Both climate and road seemed happy with us, we were chatting laughing, and planning a fake drama as a reason for being late for our family. The road was smooth, the scenery was nice and the traffic was low. We reached punaloor after some 41 odd km.
There was nothing exciting to see rather than an old suspension bridge built during the British rule. The bridge is not functioning now but, it is preserved as a structure of archaeological importance. Had a short photo session.
As it was a short ride, my urge increased to ride more, I said I want to go to "Thenmala"(just 20km from there). There was nothing to think and we rode off towards thenmala. The route was fun with small cornering and full of greenery. Now here comes the rain, in our kerala (God's own country) rain comes at it's wish, we weren't prepared for the rain with raincoats but who cares, we loved the ride in rain.... It's another feeling, riding in rain with the best pillion rider to hangout with. We enjoyed our ride alot through the rain and through the slightly twisting roads.
We reached thenmala dam around 1.15pm parked the ride and entered into the dam area. There was still rain and we were walking totally soaked in the rain, the cool breeze brought a chillness through our spines. There weren't much visitors on that day, and when we were crossing the dam, we were the only souls enjoying crazily in the rain. It was like being truly alive, feeling the mother nature, it's love, it's beauty and with the crazy chum to hangout with.. I was totally happy with my buddy. We spend around 45minutes there and bid bye to thenmala. We rode off.
The rain stopped, our clothes were nearly dry, but on the way back, a small water body was awaiting us
..It was totally fun to enjoy in it, the pure and chilling water effect was refreshing. After some clicks we rode off towards home, after some distance the sun shined lightly. It was 4 in the evening and we halted for a tea break in a small roadside tea stall. It was the best tea time ever i had with my pal, the tea and the snacks we got were awesome.
With a smile in our face we left, till about 15km before our home it was sunny, then came the heavy rain, the rain which we could not see clearly or ride with an average speed, so we had to slow down a bit, but who cares to stop..😂 We rode totally drenched in the rain till home sweet home and there, we were welcomed by the warm scoldings by the parents which was also a joyful experience.
As I had heard it from a friend, " if it's worth the risk, then take the fall"
