Uncle:Me:Uncle: No one mentioned it before because no one except your Grandfather had gone there. Even I am going for the first time.
Me:Uncle:Me: 9-10 kms on foot and that too on hilly paths.
Uncle: Yes, believe me it would be fun going there.
Me: I would go there only when the roads reach there, this time you go and see the ancestral house and guide me later about the route.

Day 1st (July 16, 2015): Haldwani-Bhimtal-Khutani-Padampuri-Gunialekh-Churigar-Kalagadi-Tapua-Babiyar
Woke up at 6am in the morning and look outside the window in excitement and just then my whole excitement vanished, it was raining heavily outside and in no way my parents allow me to go in that kinda rain L
I literally started cursing gods for this and came out of my room. But just after 1 hour rain stopped and I thought maybe god realizes that how badly I wanted to go there!!!
So started the trip at 8:00am by taking 1st photo of the trip:
Fill the 2T tank with Castrol Go 2T and also added 50ml of the same into the fuel tank:
Hilly area begins from here:
Haldwani to Bhimtal:
It was fun riding like a Convoy
First shot of Natural scenic Beauty
Raxy on the fun
Bhimtal lake
At Khutani Junction:
Khutani to Padampuri:
Beautiful Curves
The water was so clean and fresh that we drink atleast 1L of it

Some Random Clicks

As it was raining the whole night, chances of seeing landslides increased
After this point my Airtel network just ran away and never came back during the whole trip

Padampuri to Gunialekh:
Now the weather started getting colder with every KM we crossed
Another Landslide
As soon as I take my camera out, the kids started to ran away like Hell ( as if I am going to shoot
them)

Beautiful scene of Step-like Farming

Our first tea break at Gunialekh
Gunialekh to Babiyar:
After crossing Grossing Gunialekh, not a single soul on a vehicle was spotted by us
Major Landslide
Road gets Narrower and Tarmac get exchanged by mud and pebbles
Encountered this blood sucker for total 3 times
Locals told us that this area was cleared just 1 hour before (now it is confirmed that mighty God is
helping me)
We were High ( I mean literally )
This was toughest part of the whole journey, the route was from the right and the bike was on 1st gear
for next 2kms ( my Raxy was never stressed like this before as most of the time I preferred to ride alone).
After the 2km straight uphill stretch was conquered , stopped the bike for 20min to cool down the
engine as we have 3kms more remaining to reach our destination
This one shows how often a vehicle comes here
at one of the house near the road.
Younger Nanaji told us that the house on top-left corner belongs to him and also that we were staying
with him for these 3 days
House where I parked my Raxy, the initial plan was to park her inside the room but the width of the door
Ranikhet, so had much experience in walking/climbing on hills
Just after few hundred meters the stones disappear, now I began to worry as the path ahead was all
people. Enquired this with Nanaji and he told us that this pathway is very much new and is made when
construction of road is started as the old pathway is from the forest area and its first intersection with
road is miles away.

And that's my co-pilot
Mastering the art of SLEEP-FU
I was touched by the warm welcome and the way all treated me, though they all were seeing me for the first time in their life. Just then my eyes got fixed to a iron pipe laying at one end of the bed, immediately took it out and adrenaline starts pumping in my blood again. Seeing my wide open eyes, at least once how it fires and below is the end result of all my pleading

As the time was just 4:30pm, me and my cousin decide to roam around the place before it gets dark and
left the house with elder son of Nanaji,i.e., one newly met Uncle
My uncle mention that river view from the next hill is much much better, so we decided to increase our
tiredness for the day
But the thing he didn't tell us that due to rainy season there would be no visible path
I think a certain group of people would be able to recognize this flower

Also ate these wonderful hilly fruits known as "GHINGHARU" on the way to the top of the hill. They
looks like miniature version of Apple and also tastes like them too
Finally reach to the top of that hill and the river view was indeed Beautiful
At last return home with some shaggy legs and hop-in to the bed just after the dinner
