    @NightFurry

    1. Iternery : I did not worked on iternery. Only knew my destinations and no of days I had. Only thing I kept in mind is to complete 500km per day, till J&K after that, I stayed at places till time I feel like. And as I was solo, no responsilibity or any burden to follow any plan.
    2. Cost of entire trip : from 21 days, I booked hotel only 2 days, other all days I camped, some place or other, so it saved my hotel price, total was 18k approx~
    3. Cost of the stay per day : depends, 2 days I booked, one in leh for 500/- , and in kashmir I booked for 400/-.
    4. Name of the Hotel\Lodge etc where you stayed. sry didnot remember. And I prefer camping in leh, so that I can get real feeling.
    5. any pointers one should be focused of ? YES, not everyday we get chance to do these kind of trips, so enjoy it to the core.

Many of times I have heard that tourist are not allowed to camp\tent in places where it's a tourist spot. Can you please note down the places where we you had camped?

and which tent did you use ? Brand and review on that as well. Price etc.

Wonderful TLog I must say. I like how your approach towards the ride was more of a spontaneous one. Must have been one heck of a ride! keep 'em coming.

Yes, may be there can be issues with tourist spots, and the reason is valid also. But I never was never attracted towards tourist place. Whatever place I camped were common, like

          1. Ratlam near a dhaba, I talked with resturant owner after dinner, just to make sure, that place is safe and he is also comfortable
          2. Once in a highway around 11pm, near the temple, as there is light and flast surface
          3. before or after villages, where there is some light.
          4. in Leh I did camping before Kargil, at pangong lake, outside of leh city while on way to Khardungla.

There were few examples. Now the tent I was carrying was a 2 person tent, I got from Decathalon, it is good, enough space to keep ur bag. If camping in leh, make sure to carry good winter wears.

            Kashmir Here I am:

I managed to enter Kasmir, heaven on earth by night. It was too cold even in September. Once you cross Jawahar Tunnel you are at Kashmir, it is not recommended at night to ride. But I had to reach Kashmir that day, so went ahead and rode till 11pm.

At night booked one hotel, after 4days, for a night, as it was already too dark and no safe place to camp, moreover it was too cold outside. Next day early morning started for the main city, where I meet my father. Spent time in
            city, enjoying the beauty.

To visit Kashmir only and surrounding places, you need the whole week. As I was already there in June 2015, so skipped it this time. This city is really amazing, so many beautiful Mughal gardens, dal lake, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, and many more. So, my advice, dont club up Kashmir and Leh. Cause both are amazing place, and you can't afford to miss the charm of the valley.

                        Srinagar to Zozilla Pass

Next day after meeting my father, I started for Leh. Srinagar to Leh, some 400km approx. One of the most beautiful route I was waiting to ride. on the way saw many riders returning back, and every time I see a rider in his full riding gear with lots of luggage on his bike, I use to get excited, plus the amazing view of mountains waterfalls, blue sky, everything was beautiful, and I was spellbound every turn.
From Srinagar towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg is too popular among tourists, and you will find lots of people over there. Green meadows, endless snow covered mountains, everything is too beautiful over there, but I never felt like spending time over there too crowded, so I just drive through that place without even looking back.

After Sonmarg, the real journey started. Got my bike front tyres punctured, but thanks, god, in 100m there was repair center and I changed the tube. One thing to make sure before proceeding to Leh, always gets the new set of tyres.

Once you cross Sonmarg, you head towards Zozilla Pass. On Suggestion while crossing this, keep all your camera gears inside. Too dusty, being common place to too much snowfall and landslide, roads are pretty bad conditions. But u will enjoy riding over there.

After Zozilla Pass, You will find a war memorial, a small one, but an amazing place, telling stories of our brave soldiers. Leh is all about memories, you will find 100s of stories over there, if you give some time.
