Then the next stop was Tampara Lake which was around some 10kms from the fort.

The tummies filled , the bikes were tanked up as after some 5kms the Andhra Pradesh road starts and the fuel is 10 to 12 Rupees costlier. Then the next stop was Paralekhmundi , so all started zipping past each other as we had planned to reach the place before sun goes down. But when we were just 10kms from paralekhmundi where we were stopped by the AP Police for regular checking. Its done regularly as its a maoist affected area and they try their level best to keep the city safe. They asked for all the documents like the RC ,PUC, Driving License and Insurance. While some had the papers in the other had some had forget the papers at home without knowing the value of those papers, for which they were asked a hefty fine and only after paying the fine they let us go.

Then after reaching the lodge all were just tired and some were busy in having their dinner whicle some enjoyed by watching some random channels and the day was called to an end.When we some had called the day to an end, where as Satya@sparxblood and Sajal bhai both were exporing the Raja Mahal.

Day: 2
The plan was to start early as we all knew that it was going to be a long day. According to the plan we started early but when all were set to start for the day, then suddenly our great mamaji realized that he has left his knee guards, then all the drama began inside the lodge when we all were busy in getting our engine heated up. Then after sometime he returned with a sad face saying let it go, I will get a new one. And by 05:30 am everyone starts rolling and the next stop was the petrol pump, as the next petrol pump will be some 150kms away so better fill it up.
The first stop was Gandhahati waterfall which was some 25km away from our lodge. Till then enjoy the pictures in and around the waterfall.


Next Morning we were all ready to move by 5:30 AM



Thanks Sriharsha Raman for recommending SK lodge. Its a good option for budget travellers.



As we were about to start. Taufique Raza said wait !!! i'm feeling light man i might have left some stuff in room, those who don't know taufique then he has a tendency to leave stuff in hotel rooms. Yes he did lost his knee protectors.



Time to fill up, next fuel station is 150 km away.

After enjoying for sometime at the waterfall then we start riding towards Burakat , which was some another 25kms from the waterfall. So after riding for sometime we reach a small village where we had our breakfast . The next moment everyone were just seen filling up there tummies with puri, upma , pakoda and chai . Even we also picked up some snacks from the nearby shops, as we had these think that we might not get anything to eat or drink once we start climbing the ghats.
Then we started riding towards mahendragiri while on the way we encountered with some amazing scenic views , and soon we were welcomed by the ghat roads which were not too bad neither too good but was fun riding on them. Where as few riders were enjoying the roads and were running ahead in the other hand few were struggling with the bad roads and to making frequent stops to get their confidence level build up to tackle with road conditions, even they were making themselves happy by taking pictures. Few minutes later we reached the point which read Mahendragiri welcomes you.


For 5-6 km roads where good.



As we started our clime the road became quite dusty and broken.











All this time they were busy doing this.



Few of us were ahead and we had to wait for half an hour or so.!!



Carrying too much speed into a corner is never a good idea.







Everyone felt the relief cos from now on we get tarmac.



We can enjoy the curves & ...



the nature more and worry less about the road.

Ab ek ek corner mein talent ubhar ubhar ki nikal raha hai....















Finally they reached. From here it is 4-5 km of trek to the top. 7 of us decided to take their bike to the top, rest decided to trek.

Our trusted locker room Nano. We couldnt have gone up without storing the luggage in car.



First few bend & climbs were flat and easy.



Taking full fairing bike to the top, is a ambitious project I must say....

25% done. Break to banta hai. From here-on the slope were more or less like 40 deg. So we ask Subhramoy to park and leave his bike here,as full-faring r15 will have bit of trouble.
