  • [Photo Feature]: Solo Ride to Mayodia, Arunachal Pradesh.

Hi, I am Sirajum Munir Tarique a.k.a Sirax Khan. My hometown is in the capital city of Assam, Guwahati. Few months ago, precisely on 13th of march 2015. I started a solo road trip from Guwahati, Assam on my Yamaha Fazer version 1 (whom I also call Legend) towards Mayodia Pass, Arunachal Pradesh

Day 1 - Guwahati to Dibrugarh I took the route from Guwahati via Nagaon bypass which is NH-37 towards Dibrugarh my first destination. On the way I rode across world famous Kaziranga National Park alongwith few other towns like Numaligarh, Jorhat, Sivsagar and than my destination Dibrugarh. I started early at around 6am in the morning and reached the beautiful dibrugarh town at around 2pm. I stayed there at bhutia market, few bikers from nearby destinations came to meet me. We discussed our biking experiences and as we all know when few bunch of bikers met the topic of discussion is like never ending. It was a memorable evening.

Day 2 - Dibrugarh to Roing, Arunachal Pradesh next day, I
started lately at around 10am and head towards tinsukia. I reached tinsukia at 11am and had my breakfast there and proceded towards the next lead of my journey towards Roing, Arunachal Pradesh. After 2 hours of riding i reached Dholla Ghat. There are two ways to go to Roing one via Parshuram Kund road another via crossing the mighty brahmaputra river from two ghats Saikhowa and Dholla ghat, I choose the next one as it sounds more adventerous to me. After reaching dholla ghat I crossed the river on a ferry with a mere fee of 70 Rs only and it took around 20mins to reach Sadiya but during rainy seasons it may take around 3 to 4 hours. While crossing the river I saw one of the largest river bridge in india which is still in construction. Locals told me that there is around 193 posts of the bridge. After crossing the river I rode my bike for another 1 hour and reached the arunachal pradesh checkpost and the last town of assam which is Shantipur. It is necessary to make an ILP(INNER LANE PERMIT) pass to enter Arunachal Pradesh. Near the checkpost a local policeman showed me the way to the office where I can collect my passes with a fees of Rs 40 only. After completing all formalities I finally left Assam and entered Arunachal Pradesh and reached Roing at around 5pm in the evening. I checked in a hotel called MEEMU not so nice hotel  but it was cheap and it was good for me as it also provides parking for bikes.

Day 5 - Woke up early Visited Rong Ghar, Tolatol Ghor and also Azan Pir Dargah Sharif which is around 40kms away from Sivsagar. Along with a biker friend from Sivsagar I started heading towards home at around 10.30am. Reached nagaon at 1pm. Few bikers from nagaon came to meet me, we had a little chat about my ride and we also had our lunch at a nearby dhaba and after that I started riding towards my home around 6 pm. This journey has given me lots of experience. Along with some correction of misconceptions about the people of Arunachal, they were friendly with tourist.

SAFETY IS SEXY SO AS MY RIDE
