  • [Photo Feature]: A solo ride of 1240 Kilometers in to nature (BLR - Valparai - Munnar - BLR)

    This is my second travelogue on the forum. I will try to KISS (keep it simple and short)

    Rider: Prakash G aka Chiyaanchinnu
    Ride: 2011 Yamaha YZF R15 V1
    Route taken: Bangalore --> Salem --> Pollachi --> Valparai --> Athirapilli --> Malayattoor --> Kothamangalam --> Nellimattom --> Munnar --> Udumalpet --> Palladam --> Salem --> Bangalore
    Total distance: 1240 Kilometers
    Dates: 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of January 2016

    Itinerary:

    Day 1: 14th January, Bangalore --> Salem
    https://goo.gl/maps/vqh2zxLfQN32

    Night riding

    Day 2: 15th January, Salem --> Pollachi --> Valparai
    On road by 6:00 AM. Some details about Valparai, Tamilnadu:
    The road from Pollachi to Valparai is ghat road of 65 Kilometers with 40 hairpin bends which goes through thick Anaimalai Tiger Reserve Forest. It was pleasure riding on these roads and a quite adventurous one.

                Good ride there. Your travelogue got me reminiscing about what I missed in January when I was to do Valparai. Alas it didn't work out, maybe next year. I heard a lot about the superb roads in that region and can imagine what a blast you must have had on the baby 1.
