  • Chennai to tirumala - Long time wish - succeeded (No Snaps)

The adventure started with a phone call with my friend.

Just called him and asked "shall we go for tirumala this weekend?", he immediately said yes and then i said it'll be in Bike. He was calm for a few seconds and then said ok done.

I just have a Dio so its not possible for me to take for a longtrip, but my father is having as Discover 125cc and i fixed on that. Gave for a general service, oil change, some minor issues was rectified.

Booked for a spl darshan tickets online and i started by 5 a.m. on satuday. Filled the fuel and reached my friend's home in 10 mins and he was just coming out after a small pooja

Started from his home we reached retteri junction by 6 am and then the stretch was started peacefully. Road was good and since its very chill that morning we cant drive above 80kmph. We made the first halt at periyapalayam for breakfast, it was done in a small hotel and after some 30 odd mins we again started the journey.

We are driving via oothukottai and roads were good than we expected and traffic also very less. Then we crossed surutapalli and took 10 mins halt. Thought of visiting famous shiva temple there but we left due to time constraint.

Then we drive via Nagalapuram, and puttur. After Puttur it was 4 lane and excellent roads. We had a signboard showing 15 and 20 kms for the same place(Tirupati), we choose 15 kms road but it took us to a village but its good we took that road since it reached tiruchanur thaayar temple. Had darshan super quick in 10 mins in special darshan and then collected prasadam.

Then comes most expected drive towards Tirumala ghat road, finished cheking in Allipiri toll gate and then started in the mountain roads. Some small repair works were going on in Ghat road so it took an hour to reach the top. Parked Vehicle in a safe place, had the lunch and then changed to traditional dress before entering the Queue.

Darshan was good but it took more than 3 hours since its ekadasi Saturday. We came to parking area around 6 pm after proceedings like collection of laddus and luggages.

My friend was having severe headache so getting down in Ghat road was fully upon me. It was a great feeling to drive in that road, many sharp curves. Had a glimpse of famous Hanumar statue on the way and then reached down in an hour.

Then we had a tea and proceeded towards the return journey in the same route. Had our dinner in a small restaurant near puttur and continuous drive made us to reach our bed by 12.15 a.m
