  • Cotswold England Ride & Pictures.

    Hi Guys,
I'm back in the saddle of study and would rather be just where I was or back in Delhi enjoying your company.

Anyway, here are some pics of the weekend ride (or parked up pictures), some of the villages and towns we visited and a couple of the fantastic country roads we had the pleasure of riding on. The pics will be put up over a couple of posts.

We stayed in a small village called Milton under Wychwood and many of the surrounding places had such quaint names as 'Bourton on the water' or 'Chipping Norton'. The roads around the Cotswolds are truly stunning and we were really fortunate with the weather, not a drop of rain the whole weekend.

We rode down through Yorkshire and into the Peak District, again, awesome roads. We stopped off overnight at a 17th century coachhouse (allegedly haunted) near Buxton in Derbyshire and in the morning we had to wait for a couple of hours for the fog to clear as we were so high up. GREAT ride that day, thru some of the villages you see in the pics.

On the return leg we stuck (unfortunately) mainly to the motorway (boring) just for the time factor and as we rode the bikes into Sal's (GF) garage after over 800 miles of riding, the rain started. Perfect!!

Sal's bike is a 2008 Harley Softail Heritage 1580cc and as comfy as an armchair. She's ridden bikes almost as long as I have and is an extremely competent and experienced rider. She did Enduro India in 2006 on an Enfield and loved it.

Anyway, must get back to the books. BTW, LP... I got your message but my phone didn't ring for the call, just the mobile voicemail???? Home number is 0191 284 4250.
Desideep... thanks for the info in the pm, I'd appreciate that contact dude.

I am so jealous of you ,you have more than 1000'cc under your A$$ and such amazing highway or roads.
Probably in india if any where we can find such good road it is a highway only!

As rightly said by you: "I really miss a machine like atleast a 600cc and a track!"

All photographs are nice. Looks like you guys had a really nice ride and time. The Softail looks real good in the pics.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@Olias: Since the Delhi G2G thread is meant for discussing the Delhi offline get-togethers, hence, I am creating a new thread for your ride. I have moved all the relevant posts from the Delhi G2G thread to here, in this thread. Please share more pictures and more textual content with us, if possible.

These pictures (and the machines) look wonderful!

                          Hey Rohit,
I got two of these stickers in one of the bike accessory places in Karol Bagh. I saw them on bikes and cars and like them imediately. I didn't know the meaning of the sticker but guessed that it was a good luck thing. Keeping evil away sounds good to me!!
Sal has the other one on her bike. Hmmm... (thinks)... would make a great tattoo!
Thanks for moving the pics Aryan. Appreciated, as I wasn't sure where to post them.
As rideouts happen over the spring and summer, I'll post pics here.
