Gypsy, for a Lunch Thali, which was just what one needed to experience the flavours of Rajasthan, the daal bhati, the thorn pickle, etc.



Post which got some rest and met up with a new acquaintance through CouchSurfing, Vinamra. Being a traveler by passion, with interests in photography showed me this spot nearby Masuriya Pahadi. Was a great way to unwind and watch the sunset with the city lighting up.

The ride from Jodhpur to Jaipur was quite a smooth sailing one. Lovely roads, straight highways. Only thing that would stop people from hitting triple digits would be the animals that would be lazing around on the road and off the highway.

During the day, this pink city was a bit hot. Still managed to check out a few places.

Visited Hawa Mahal, which is supposed to have over 900 windows for ventilation and tackling the hot summers of Rajasthan. The kind of technology our country has possessed since ages is surely an eye opener.

In the evening stumbled upon a street side pani puri (patashi) wala who serves it with 5 different flavours.



One thing to observe is that Jaipur police has been able to implement the pillion helmet rule successfully. Something that the rest of India could also pick up for road safety.
With a variety of food to try, places to shop, culture to experience and monuments to see, will surely need to visit Jaipur during winter for at least a week.

Pillion helmet rule has been implemented in Bangalore too bro, traffic cops are very strict over here.

That's good man. Bombay hasn't been able to get onto it yet.
They had started imposing a fine on helmetless pillions for a month. And now it's back to the same jazz.
