there is always two sides of coin, well tourism can develop those area, as a tourist we like to see those remote places where basic commodity is a challange
Initially Shimla and Manali was also lacking these but now because of tourism they are developed now and locals have more money to live quality life not quality life but they have enough to live properly and fullfiill their requirements like hospitality , kids education etc
Other side is - nature and natural things are slowly going , now you can see AC rooms available at Shimla which is weird but thats now a days is a requirement of most of the tourist
well at the end I would like to say, Traveler want remote and untouched place but tourist like those places with AC rooms and a good menu card for dinner
Let me tell you one story, I was there at Thirtan valley for 2-3 days at The Himalayan trout house, place us very nice with good hospitality but still untouched.
Chris who own the place was saying just 10 years ago there was not a single car in that area and people had to face many issues
he got first car there and helped locals when required at late night, now because of tourism you can see many cars not 50-100KM is not far for them
But what will happen in future due to crowd that is unpredictable but I am sure It will ruin the nature

nothing is more insulting for a photographer than someone saying what you said
