    I took the same route on new year 2017 and the road was horrible till deoban...

      Well...Chakrata to Deoban is fine. It has been fine well laid with tarmac since quite some time now. Post Deoban after the hill top descending down to Kanasar is what si broken and in horrible condition. Receiving heavy snow fall on the back side of Deoban tends to break that section real bad. That is after Deoban once you cross the cantt check post.
