sexy trip there bibek.. ellora caves was my first long ride in xbhp! the pics made me remember the good old days!

      keep riding buddy.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Daulatabad fort is one of my MOST fav forts in Maharashtra. Though half an hour is not at all enough for this fort, I can understand you must be running out of time.

I had visited this fort long back when I was kid with my family. I was simply astonished to see the amount of thinking put in the construction of this fort. We had hired a guide there and even 4 hours seemed insufficient for this fort.

This is one fort which was unconquered till the fall of it. This is a cunning fort. There's water surrounding the entire fort if m not mistaken. They used to keep crocodiles in it to make it difficult for the intruders to get in the fort.

There's huge web of wicked doors inside the fort, misleading the stranger. Some of the doors are so cunning, that once you get into it, after a few steps, there's a straight 150 feet drop, killing instantly the stranger or the intruder.

Those canons, I remember there names as Mendhi tof(it's a marathi word for canon) and dont remember the other canon's name. They are made of panchdhatu(an alloy made of 5 metals). It's a wonder they remain ice cold even in 12 o clock afternoon heat. I dont know if you checked it or not but we had checked it. They were actually cold.

Plenty of information to share but it's one such fort which you have to see to believe. Amazing place.. Truly awe inspiring and historic.

Congratulation for the succesfull ride brother. Everytime I see a black P200, it reminds me my babe. Superb machine it was.

Hope to ride with you some day..!

yes the roads are butter smooth , but not all the way long. somewhere u have to slow down to 5-10 kmph due to bad roads. but overall it was goodd road. as i was not planning to stay in night so do not have much idea about accomodation, but u can try Aurangabad circuit house. and for budget my bull had drunk 700-800 Rs. petrol, some are remaining in its tank. any way if u r palnnign it for atleast 2 days let me know, i can go there again.

Nice ride Bibek. When everybody is cooling off by riding to hill stations, you have dared to go to ancient forts. Bravo!! The pics are really nice. Am delighted to see a good fort.
