      CHAPTER 3 - “DAY 3”

      “Mountain is Waiting”

      Day3 (Monday) – 24th July 2017

      Route - Solan - Shimla - Kufri - Theog - Narkanda - Rampur – Tapri

We planned to wake up early but who can wake up a dead body. As usual we anticipated something else and actually something else happened: D we started our ride at around 8.00 a.m. from solan. Thankfully it was one clear day hopefully nature allow to enjoy the twisty.
As we proceeded further from Solan towards Shimla and then Kufri, mountains started covering us and mesmerizing us with its sheer beauty, Clouds were too cruising with us on 70 kmph on those lovely snaky roads however the roads were not so good but still manageable.

When you go to the mountains, you see them and you admire them. In a sense, they give you a challenge, and you try to express that challenge by climbing them. Today it was day to ride through those mountains and meet those huge stones.

We stopped for a breakfast somewhere in Kufri which was a small shack kind of a place where we enjoyed Bun maska with extra butter along with adrak ki chai. The weather started turning bad as we were about to leave, It started drizzling making the roads terrible to ride on. We were not able to accelerate above 40 kmph because of slippery roads

We kept our pace slow making our way through mountains. Shimla treated us with loads of traffic and huge crowd which never allowed us to accelerate above 40-50 kmph. However we were anticipating getting a free road once we cross Narkanda however that never happened:-D

We stopped at few places to admire the beauty and obviously click some photos while riding into the clouds. Mountains, Twisty, fogs, billows covering us from all the corners. It was literally a bliss to ride on such heavenly road

We also made sure to click some amazing photos of the flowing river across the road which was named “Sutlej“infact it followed us all the way till Narkanda.

The view started becoming more scenic and beautiful as we were proceeding bit by bit but only until the sun was up however the roads started turning into nightmare after every passing kms after when darkness started covering us. We clicked some beautiful snaps on the roads near the mountains which looked like a caves covering the roads, it indeed looked beautiful in light however we rode for some more 30 kms in those terrains which was actually scary.

It was all dark and drizzling which made our ride towards Sangla real risky which was more 50 kms away from us and which was our planned destination but again riding in mountains never go according to plans.

You don't ride in mountains without being prepared and you don't ride in mountains without balancing the risks and rewards. Risk being mountains appears very dangerous during night but it does rewards your eyeballs with its sheer beauty so why risk yourself riding in dusk when you are not rewarded at all. So we decided to take a halt in “Tapri” and call it a day.

Some Military people also warned us of people driving recklessly so better not ride in dusk. Hence we made a quick decision of staying in Tapri and luckily we got a nice government accommodation which wasn’t at all expected in some place like “Tapri” infact it was only accommodation available in tapri.

We concluded our day with the dinner in nearby local dhabba, we got normal food Dal, roti, Sabji but it was filling and good. As soon as we reached our hotel back we crashed our back to get some much needed break. Hope we do not meet rains tomorrow.

It’s ok if things do not go according to plan at the end of the day, the goals are simple: Safety and Security.

We were behind schedule and it was absolutely alright with us as far as we were safe and ok

      CHAPTER 4 - “DAY 4”

      “Head in the clouds”

      Day4 (Tuesday) – 25th July 2017

      Route - Tapri- Karcham - Sangla-Chitkul-Karcham-Sangla- Reckong Peo-Kalpa

The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious and why shouldn’t it be?—It is the same the angels breathe

We thought to start early from Tapri because the real ride has been started and we were very excited to see the first beautiful place named “Chitkul” very less people have actually visualized this place because to go till chitkul you have to ride some extra kilometers to and fro via Karcham to Sangla from where you have to ride to “Kalpa via Reckong-Peo.

We loaded our luggage and started our ride to treat our eyesballs with some awesome greenery.

We didn’t had our breakfast from hotel because it was the only government accommodation we managed to find and stay in Tapri. Thanks to dry fruits, cake slices and biscuits to serve our empty stomach in that chilly weather, atleast we were done for few hours and was all set to ride for few kilometers until we find some appropriate Dhabba/Hotel to have our breakfast.

We rode for few kilometers after which we stopped at multiple places to click some overwhelming memories. I think photography is one important thing in any journey overall that’s the only way to collect memories and smile on, after you return to your routine life. It definitely lifts your mood and fill you with enthusiasm.

We reached Sangla in another 1 hour and stopped for breakfast because we were supposed to ride towards Chitkul, for which we heard that it is one tedious ride because there are no roads to ride on.

We were well prepared because since the day we started our ride, we never met roads we met stones, pebbles, gravels, grits which officially permitted us to meet mesmerizing beauty. It was like way to heaven through hell and we don’t mind crossing hell if heaven is so hypnotic.

We ate some Sandwiches, Cheese parantha <I love cheese and butter> so cheese parantha was must, aloo Parantha and some green tea. The hilarious thing was they served us green tea with sugar in it, I mean who ever have green tea with sugar <Probably next time I will try putting some milk in it too > but whatever it was we had great time there dancing and enjoying on the some lovely Bollywood songs running in their television. No Matter how worn-out you are or in a bad mood “Songs” never fails to enliven you and restore all your lost energy. Well at least it helps me to get back from my bad mood to good.

After dancing on couple of songs we went back to our bike and started riding towards one of awesome place named “Chitkul” about which I have been reading and seeing pictures of since a long time

Rains were bad and somewhat we were kind of prepared to face any situation but only if it was dry we could have done some awesome photography and could have collected so many memories.

When we reached Chitkul we were amazed after looking at its sheer beautiness. Rains filled the sight with more Greenery which made that place some kind to watch out for.

Chitkul was one such heaven which took 6 hours of stringent check on our ability including ride in rain, narrow slippery muddy roads and extremely bad roads. But when we reached the spot and witnessed Chitkul - I still remember we were standing there with open mouth.

We were not able to click much photos because Sachin was too concerned about his little delicate baby (Nikon D550) and we anyways did not wanted to risk our camera. We rode back to “Sangla” again in bad rains to reach Kalpa.

Rains literally took away the fun of riding in those beautiful terrain but this is how it should be. You should be mentally and physically prepared to face any situation that comes your way.

Chitkul is highly recommended place to see because there are very few people who have actually seen this place and there are very few information available on internet about it. We were lucky enough to ride to this place and appreciate its sheer beauty

Around 3.30 rains stopped however we were almost wet and tried to ride further but again we were behind schedule so we rode further towards Kalpa from Reckong Peo. The route towards Kalpa was very scenic and beautiful which made our tiredness leave us and go miles away from us.

We were happily riding and was enjoying the roads towards Kalpa from Reckong peo when suddenly Sachin screamed on BT and asked me to stop. Damn and why would he not ask me to do so “Keep looking up, there may be a Rainbow waiting for you” Hell yeah we just saw 7 colors of happiness which kept us awestruck for several minutes.

You believe me or not I saw rainbow for the first time in my life and Man what a lovely place to see something like this. I will remember this till my last breathe that I saw rainbow while I was on my ride to Spiti valley. Seriously this ride will be remembered for a long time and for many good things.

We literally did not wanted to go from that beautiful place but we had to move on and so is life we cannot get stuck

Before starting any ride the information you collect is of very important use. We asked few of our friends for the stay option in kalpa when we were in our planning phase and thanks to “Amit Nikam”…. For suggesting us such a lovely place to stay at. “The Monk”

For a change we reached Kalpa before time and expended rest of our hours in clouds which was covering beautiful Kalpa. We even saw Kinnar Kailash from our Hotel Balcony which was covered with clouds. We waited there for an hour just in a hope that clouds would move on and allow us to visualize the beautiful Kinnar kailash and see being hopeful is good in life. We actually got to see the kailash parbhat for few minutes and then clouds covered it again. Since it was a Sharavan month praying and visualizing such a holy place made our evening.

We concluded our evening with Maggi and hot coffee and we stood there for hours in the hotel gallery just seeing and appreciating the nature has to offer us. Kalpa was indeed very very beautiful which gave that huge ear to ear smile and made us forget all our concerns and problems for that moment. Travelling actually helps you to flush out all the unnecessary substance from your soul J and the pure air helps you to breathe all the positivity available in the air

The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious and why shouldn’t it be?—It is the same the angels breathe

As we are going to proceed with our riding the terrains are going to haunt us even more Day 5 wait for us we are coming to face you

      CHAPTER 5 - “DAY 5”

      “Land of Landslides”

      Day5 (Wednesday) – 26th July 2017

      Route - Kalpa- Nako-Malling-Tabo

The morning in “Kalpa” was so beautiful and freezing that we woke up very late blame “Mountains” and awesome weather. We were late to start our journey towards Tabo which was the planned destination.

We were discussing over a tea to postpone our flight ticket since our real ride was about get started and we had just a spare day. We didn’t wanted to take a chance so we thought to cancel our current ticket which we booked from Goibibo hence we checked the availability of tickets and quickly cancelled our ticket and went back to booking portal. We booked ticket for 4500 inr and now when we saw the flight ticket for new dates it displayed some 12500 inr for 2 people. Initially when we saw the cost it displayed 6200 inr so we thought its ok to invest some more buks but what we forgot to see was that the amount which was displayed initially was just for a single person. Actually Goibibo has this glitch in its app that whenever you go there for any bookings, It by default selects a single person and show you the costing and details which is not the case with other apps like MMT and Booking.com etc.

When we cancelled the ticket it gave us message as “Offline cancellation” which means somebody from Goibibo will call you and confirm your cancellation. So we were relieved that we would get a call from any Goibibo Customer associate and we will say that we do not want to cancel our tickets infact we also called Goibibo Customer care number who kept us on hold for good 25 mints. So lastly we called GoAir customer service associates and had a word with them who gave us confirmation that our tickets are not yet cancelled and we are good with our booking. (But the real tragedy starts now which I will be revealing in later part).

All this thing wasted our couple of hours but at the end and at that moment we were relaxed that our tickets are still on place and that we do not have to pay any cancellation charge and extra huge amount to rebook our tickets so we resumed with ur work of packing up our luggage and getting ready for our ride.

We went downstairs to ride towards our next destination but the view of the mountains further delayed us from moving on. Kalpa was so beautiful that we were forced to stay there, gazing at those running clouds for hours and hours seems the clouds are the only birds that never sleep:-) the place is so picturesque that a photographer will never be satisfied even after spending half of his age there..

Sachin loves fruits he was so happy to pluck some fruits like “ Litchi“ from trees and eat it raw. I don’t remember we ever get such natural fruits without any pesticides and fertilizers in Mumbai.

It was 11.30 p.m. when finally we left beautiful Kalpa to meet some treacherous roads.

Riding from Kalpa to Tabo is one tedious and dangerous task for any riders and why it shouldn’t be – you are in one most treacherous ride of your life. We rode for just 20 kms and we met with our 1st landslide for this ride which delayed us for another one hour. Thanks to the people who look after such situation and clear the roads on such terrains otherwise riding on such place would be another challenge for us riders.

The roads were turning to be narrower and narrower and equally dangerous after every passing kilometres. But after sometime you will start loving the offroads and all the dangerous horrifying looking mountains given that you don’t mess with them and ride responsibly.

We met our 2nd landslide for the day and then there was this never ending relationship between us and Landslide, Soon we met 3rd and ………

We were surprised to meet some of our Mumbai friends who were on leisure ride on their Royal Enfield’s. It feels good to meet your people when you are far away from your home and atleast for me it meant a lot because we met Nikhil who gave his CBR 250 to ride and test before I made up my mind to buy CBR myself. I owe him big time because if he hadn’t asked me to ride his bike I would have never understood that Iam also capable of riding a sports bike since I was very much into Avenger 220 at that time.

We had a lunch and also jalebiyaan with them, some fun talks with all the lovely people and after biding adieu to them we resumed from where we left.

We stopped at multiple places for clicking photos that day because the place started to turn into more beautiful landscape from now onwards.

We reached Nako where we visited Nako lake, clicked some lovely photos, met with some local people, gulped some hot tea and by the time we decided to ride further till TABO it was already 5.30 in evening we had no option but to ride in dark.

We felt as if we wasted our time visiting Nako lake which was not a great place to see. But still we didn’t knew when we will be riding back to Spiti so we thought to pay a visit.

We proceeded with our ride towards Tabo however the sun was already set and it was one dangerous decision to ride in dusk but somehow we thought that we should do it to catch up with the planned schedule (Highly not recommended to ride in dusk especially in those terrains).

Our headlight were weak so we had to focus hard while riding on those bad roads because at some places the roads were actually broken if you ride from extreme cliff side. One miss and you can actually go down the cliff so we had to be very very careful

Yes we reached Tabo around 9.30 p.m. which was one hell of a ride. Those mountains which appears to be so beautiful in morning looks equally scary in dusk especially when there are no roads to ride on. Fortunately we reached Tabo without any breakdown and problems (not recommended – Never ride on those terrains in dark until and unless there is some urgency)

We had to hunt for accommodation for some 30 mints since there were no electricity and no light at all. We settled with a descent place to stay in Tabo.

There were no phone signal at all we were so relieved and happy that no more phone calls and no more browsing, Once in a while you should visit such places where there are no network and phones to disturb your privacy. Just you and your man, hearing to each other heartbeats

Concluding our day with some delicious chicken & Rice and photographing galaxy we snored like dogs. Yet another day were ended successfully on positive note

            Day6 (Thursday) – 27th July 2017

Route - Tabo – Dhankar Monestery – Mud Villiage – Kaza

We shortlisted few places to see before reaching Kaza from Tabo but again riding is about taking decisions on the go no matter how well planner you are that’s not gonna work here. We skipped “Gue village” because we strictly did not wanted to ride after sunlight especially when terrain were turning into nightmare after every passing kilometers and as we were proceeding towards Spiti the roads were dangerously turning into extremely bad patches. So the decision was NO MORE NIGHT RIDE...

We went to Dhankar Monestary which was amazingly peaceful and silent and then we were directed towards Mud village where we had our lunch. Mud village was green and beautiful otherwise while riding towards Spiti you will mostly get to see scary looking huge mountains

We were enjoying our ride towards Kaza and we were actually happy because everything was going according to plan and we also started enjoying riding on those kinds of terrains. In short the bad terrains became our best buddies but who knew that best buddies will not take much time to become your enemy.

Sachin was riding ahead of me when suddenly I did an engine braking where I shifted to first gear from fourth and released the clutch, because I thought that I was going too fast while on descending patch and also because I wanted to save myself from going inside the water <sssshhhhh ignore that water thing actually that was the primary reason> and the next moment I was hugging all the gravels and pebbles in the ground, Somehow I gathered my senses and realized that Wuhuu so here is my 1st fall of this ride but shattered when I understood that I am unable to rotate my wrist, the worst thing is whenever such thing happen all the negative devils derive into your mind giving you all the possible thoughts that now your ride has been ended, load your bike in truck and move on.

Sachin came rushing towards me, helping me to get rid of those pain and after that I just remember that I was still determined to be back on my bike riding. By no means is my ride ending here, I immediately got an elephant hand because it was swollen, Sadly our first aid had no tablets for pain killer I was all set to ride for some more 50 kms towards Kaza and YES I DID IT! Those 50 kms till Kaza was the worst, painful ride of my life.

Everyone Crashes, some too scared to get back on. Some can’t wait to ride again. May be iam from those few who are crazy enough to ride with broken wrist. All thanks to my will power, mental strength and Sachin’s Support to motivate me to get back on 2 wheels and complete the ride.

We reached Kaza and stayed in our friend’s hotel like when we visited Goa we stayed in his property. He has a FB page with name “Jamaica in Goa” and when she shifts to Spiti for some 3 months he names it as “Jamaica in spiti” a very jolly person and a very good place to stay in.

He helped us with some rally spray and hot water bag to help my elephant hand help a bit but pain was indeed unbearable. The good thing was we thought to explore places around Kaza so I could be the pillion and give some rest to my poor swollen wrist. I was so glad and wanted to thank god that my bones were in place and that nothing was broken otherwise seriously the dream of riding in beautiful spiti valley would had ended there at the very moment.

This is what normally happens just one crash and your dreams can be shattered. Be always careful of what you do, Be safe always, you have long long way to go and achieve what you dream for J

Though we did not had the great day because of my crash and all but again life doesn’t ends there it has to go on, So we ended our sad day going to one amazing café in Kaza which kinda very happening with music’s and all and it really really helped us to lift our mood and look forward to new day filled with positivity.

Ending the day with some hot and cold water therapy to soothe my poor wrist, we fast felt asleep to look forward to yet another amazing and wonderful day filled with positivity.

            CHAPTER 7 - “DAY 7”

“If you get tired learn to rest not QUIT”

Route - Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber Village – Kaza

We woke up bit late the next morning. However it was beautiful sunny morning outside with amazing chilly weather.

For a moment when I woke up I forgot that something tragic happened to me the day yesterday. I picked a bend to tie my tresses when suddenly it gave me such an immense pain not allowing to lift anything with my injured hand

I literally got an elephant hand with green patch in my palm. When I saw my hand it was like “Damn how did I turn into Hulk”:-D But again the pain was so tremendous that riding a bike was completely out of question. Good thing was we thought to sight see a few things in KAZA so I decided to be a pillion and enjoy the back seat of Fz25.

After having an amazing breakfast of Pohe (It gives true happiness that even after thousands of kms away from home you still get to eat your favourite breakfast. All Thanks to Jamaica)

I hopped as a pillion for a change, being a pillion is also a fun in itself. We first visited Key Monestery, I always feel very peaceful to pay visit to Monasteries especially because it feels so good and sheer relaxation out there

Later we visited Kibber village which was again a must visit. We clicked so many amazing pictures there and lived in that moment in that so peaceful place. One of the best thing I liked about Spiti is that its not that crowded compared to Ladakh since the roads are way too tough to ride to Spiti hence many people avoid coming to this beautiful valley

Later we started riding to Komik, Langza but as we were ascending the weather started behaving weird with heavy wind storm literally pushing our bikes towards cliff in one of the curve. This is the most disappointing thing about these mountains you never know when the weather would turn against you. We quickly decided to take a reverse turn and run back to our hotel. Glad we made a good decision because later it poured heavily making Kaza all wet.

Riding has made us a quick decision maker

We concluded our day by again visiting to same café for some amazing fries and some beer to gulp in those rainy evening.

No doubt I was still fearful about how am I going to ride ahead because till the roads happened to be too good to us but now from here onwards the real Journey starts with injured wrist.

No Matter what it was I was dedicated and all excited to hop back to my bike and take her for a ride

                CHAPTER 8 - “DAY 8”

                “Flat Tyre”

Route - Kaza – Kunjum – Chandra tal

I woke up with little less pain in my wrist, however I soon realized how less painful it was when I clamped the handle bar of my bike (F**** it was so so so soooooooo painful) I don’t know how was I supposed to ride today but I did not say Sachin anything about it.

Everytime he asked how is it? I would smile and nod positively, obviously because I could not tense him more and that my pain cannot be shared, its only me who has to pass through this painful phase.

We left kaza at around 9.00 a.m. and planned to reach Chandratal before dawn so that we can spend our evening by the icy lake side.

As we were proceeding towards Kunjum Pass the roads started to frighten us, somehow our bike tyre was not getting a proper grip on gravels, giving a skid even on the smallest of the stones. We quickly realized that we inflated our tyres in Kaza because we thought that after riding too much on offroads it may had happened that our tyre would need some air.

But then not getting a grip on smallest of the stones didn’t go well, reason being the more air pressure. Make sure whenever you are on such terrains you need a less air pressure then compare to on normal tarmac roads hence we decided to deflate some air from the tyres of both the bikes.
Safety pin did the work well and we proceeded ahead. Just after a km we realized that Sachin rear tyre is completely flat. Damn may be he deflated more air from his rear tyre which made a space for this sharp stone to enter in there. We were literally screwed big time

I read it somewhere “A bad attitude is like a flat tyre you can’t go anywhere until you change it”. We anticipated to have an awesome day ahead and reach Chandra Tal before sundown and we could have even done it but this flat tyre won’t allow us to.

That misery to remove puncture on 15060 ft cannot be articulated in words especially when air is thin and body is sapped but again you cannot get stranded on the way for such small issues.

We had all the necessary stuffs needed to fix the flat tyre. We bought all those stuffs when we went to ladakh in 2015 and luckily we carry it in all our rides from there on.

We reached the top of Kumjum La and visited the temple and prayed for our further journey.

Kunjum descending part was the scariest part of the day and the roads to reach ChandraTal were so narrow that one mistake and no idea where you would be thrown.

Cautiously making our way we reached ChandraTal and got a budget tent to spend our evening. Unfortunately we reached Chandra Tal at around 5.30 p.m. and hence decided to pay a visit to Chandra Tal the next morning.

Sachin suffered from bad headache because of low oxygen since we stayed at 15060 ft for quite a sometime.

Next day is gonna be more challenging because – Ladies and Gentlemen Hold your breath the water-crossing has just being started.

                CHAPTER 9 - “DAY 9”

                “Beautiful Patience”

Route - Chandra Tal - Losar – Chhatru

It was so so cold when my sleep broke in middle of night. I took a glimpse of Sachin and he was all in his sweet sleep. The oxygen level was actually very low out there to get a sound sleep.

I kept turning left and right until It was finally all morning for all to wake and run to view beautiful ChandraTal.

We met a lovely family on our way to Kaza who asked us to join them in there “Innova” to go until the spot from where we had a small trek to reach the beautiness.

We trekked for 15-20 mints when we finally saw this still “Tal”

I recollected an incident that when we rode to Pangong we were not able to view the blue sky reflecting the lake and making it beautifully bluish in the color and same episode was repeated here in ChandraTal. The sky was filled with black clouds making the lake water look blacker in color.

Obviously after riding in such a dangerous road and not able to see what we wished to feels disappointing.

We patiently waited there for almost 2 hours for clouds to leave the sky a bit and wuhuuuu it happened.

Chandra Tal was like a blue beauty we sat there for 2 hours and still didn’t feel like to leave, it was so serene, peaceful, and tranquil that all the pain and struggle to reach there was vanished in the nick of time.

Life is such you shouldn’t get worried when black clouds surrounds you, you should give some time out and everything just get sorted

We came back to our tent and packed up to ride further and reach Manali on the following day. We left ChandraTal bit late that is somewhat around 11.30 and later we were delayed because of truck whose brake failed in middle of narrow lane blocking the traffic disgustingly.

After 1.30 hrs we resumed our ride back again towards Losar.

Route from Chandra Tal to Losar was so dangerous, narrow that finally it gave us a feel of being in Spiti, since the day we started our planning for Spiti we have been hearing, reading and watching about one of the dangerous roads of Himalayas and indeed its all true

One after another we would have at least crossed 20+ dangerous river beds on way to Gramphu

Chota Dhara being the dangerous among all with high current, our bike got stuck in middle of nowhere and I was pushing and Sachin was throttling it to move ahead. it was the longest and dangerous of all

We rode for few more kms and as the sun was setting the river bed started making more dangerous noises with high current so we thought to skip the idea of riding to Rohtang for the day and Camp in Chhatru which was a small village just 33 kms before Rohtang. It was already dark and water stream started to increase its flow due to sunset hence without taking any further risk we concluded yet another adventurous day.

Seriously there is nothing greater than the feel of crossing some great body of water knowing that I’ve done it with my own two arms and legs. YES WE DID IT

Well this ain’t the end of story yet there are more river beds to cross and more challenges to face….aaaahhhh my wrist cried for some rest

                CHAPTER 10 - “DAY 10”

                “As I Walk with beauty”

Route - Chhatru – Gramphu – Rohtang La – Manali

When we woke up and peeked out from the tent the morning in Chhatru was so exquisite with the clouds covering the mountains and sunlight gazing up on us, gave us a positive rush that finally we are about to complete the most treacherous roads of our life.

We loaded our bike yet again to bid adieu to lovely Spiti Valley until we meet again.

We again crossed some more water streams one after another and successfully made our way towards Rohtang. When I saw the tarmac which was supposed to lead to Rohtang. I literally slept and hugged the tarmac for getting us safely back up till here. Atleast I was happy that now we wont face any water crossing

Though Rohtang treated us with Muds and lots of traffic but we were finally going towards the civilization so it was a kinda feel good factor. But even at the end of our ride nature didn’t spare us “Rohtang” treated us with loads of Muds, Fogs, heavy rains and traffics which eventually drained us completely and forced us to take a stay in Manali.

We planned to ride till Delhi but it was pouring so heavily and my hand started giving so much pain that we dropped the plan to ride ahead and stay in Manali

I still remember when we rode to ladakh in 2015 at that time, I was riding Avenger 220 and the disc brake of my bike failed and complete Rohtang as well as descending of Manali was done just on rear brake. Oh my god how my life has changed from 2015 to now. It gives so much happiness to ride to those terrains again with better bike and better brakes J

We stayed in RideInn which is one fantastic place to stay in for all riders. The interior of the hotel is made up of spare parts, chain, Sprockets and bike parts. We just loved the place and hot milk chocolate is must.

Time to Say good buyie to Mountains ofcourse until we meet again and the journey towards Civilization starts tomorrow.

                CHAPTER 11 - “DAY 11”

                “Rough Roads

                Route - Manali – Chandigarh – Delhi

Thank god it wasn’t pouring in Manali when we woke up. It was all dry and fantastic day to ride to Delhi.

Sadly all our gears were wet, our shoes, hand gloves so I tried to dry it up with the hand dryer but it wasn’t so helpful

Manali route is very very treacherous with loads of trucks and traffics and single lane. Rains at some spots also gave us hard time to ride there. Roads were slippery so we were very slow in pace.

We reached Delhi at around 3.30 a.m. one of most tiring day of our journey especially because I had an injured wrist which gave me a painful, hard time to cover 550 kms in 14 hours but again that is what a rider is known for - “Always be determined to complete a ride, no matter how rough the roads are and how injured you are if you can, you should”

And so we reached Delhi and snored liked dogs....

                CHAPTER 12 - “DAY 12”
                “Final Destination”

Route – Delhi to Mumbai (By flight)

We ended ourjourney in a very filmy manner, we would have literally missed our flight butwe were quite lucky to be unlucky that day.

We changed 4metros and then the cab till airport the driver would have almost dashed andkilled so many people on road:-D, finally reached airport 10 mints before ourflight, pleaded like Indian beggars to consider our check in and Wuhuuu we werein plane. Thanks to Tulsi an xBHP guy who helped us at the end moment. We oweyou big time buddy!

And in next 3hours we were in our HOME SWEET HOME! Ending one of the most dangerous andadventurous journey of our life

                **********************

                ||Epilogue||

This was one ofthe most memorable ride of our life. I just wanted to say that don’t sit behindand doubt your capabilities One day or day 1 you decideJ
