Performance of this bike till now , for me is really very good, it gave me good average+comfort , two up on bad roads/ghats as well as on 4-lane highways, super smooth engine and linear power delivery are its USP.
About service: service center folks at Benelli( atleast at Hyderabad) are very good and knowledgeable, first service cost me around 3k ( mind it engine oil itself costs around 2.2k), and once I take AMC, next three service combined will be around 8.8 K- which IMO is not that bad till 12 K kms( service interval-4000 kms)
I tour with my wife so pillion comfort was my priority( which I don't think any other bike gives)
plus peace of mind - no niggles, no tantrums on road.
But again these are my personal opinion, will suggest you to go and take test ride 2-3 times and then decide on something.
