The D Day:
After fighting the night, woke up early in the morning. All mine and my wife gears were ready. We did our morning rituals and were ready with everything. Saddled was loaded. Tank was full. And excitement was at its peak.
As decided with Vishal, he will meet me at exit 8 on Nh8 around 6:00 AM. And as it happened, i reached there 5 minutes before as my house is just 2 km away from the meeting point. I called up Vishal to check where he is and after 10 minutes he arrived. and without wasting any time we were on our bulls. Flowing with wind. Wow cant tell what that feeling was. Every time a new ride gives me that feeling like a living a dream. I was leading and Vishal was following me. We wanted to cross Manesar as soon as possible. Thanks to newly built flyover near Hero honda chowk. We crossed the toll with in no time. And also we were keeping the constant speed of 65-70 KM/H.
But as soon as we crossed the toll, traffic was waiting for us. Last thing we wanted. No man just we started our ride and this traffic. However we crossed the jam taking service lanes, sideways, creating our own ways and by God's grace we crossed the jam. and after that straight highway and i was like common this is life. I was in different world. Like i was talking to my bull. enjoying every KM. That feeling of riding Royal enfield at constant speed with cool wind blowing. amazing.
as i was flowing with wind, Vishal overtook me and said lets have Tea break. I was like no man lets continue will stop after 100 odd km but i understood that it was first ride for both Vishal and Neha. So we stopped at what ever Dhaba came in our way. Had tea and bread toast. it was ok. Took some picture their.

After half n hour break, we continued our ride again. Maintaining constant speed and clear roads with no or less traffic. I was expecting traffic but strange to me there was none. Clear highways. We were covering good distance as per our plan. Our plan was to reach jaipur by 10:30 AM. but no ride goes by plan i guess. After constant riding for 90 minutes, Vishal asked me to stop again. we took the halt and i was surprised to see when Vishal pointed at this bike. I was like no way not at this juncture. Bad thoughts started to fill up my mind. There was leakage happening from one side of the engine. We both were clueless, worried and we never expected our wives to give any suggestion on what is happening . They both went inside the dhaba and sat.
I suggested to Vishal that this might be because of over heating or engine oil was less. That was only reason i could have thought of with my small knowledge of Bullta(Punjabi word of Bullet). Finally we agreed that lets continue as there was no point in stopping. we will stop at some petrol pump and will take engine oil from their. Moreover We were not that much hungry. So we were riding slow just to keep an eye if we can spot any mechanic on the way. but there were all puncture shops, no mechanic. and worried vishal stopped at IO petrol pump. There we inquired if they have engine oil for bullet but no to our luck they didn't had any. I then called up my riding group member and asked if there is going to be any problem and after talking to him we decided to continue our ride as Jaipur was just 60 KM away. We thought of taking bike to RE showroom their at jaipur and overall our halt at petrol pump was for 20 minutes which helped bikes in getting cool down. so we continued our ride and safely reached Jaipur excited. and we noticed that there was no leaking happening. so it was all Good.
reached at Hotel around 11.15 AM , it was like feeling of achievement, me and vishal hugged each other like how boys does a half hug . Offloaded our saddle and settled down at reception as both the Girls were tired and hungry. and to our surprise we were told that your check in time is 2:00 PM. we did check with hotel reception again if they can arrange at least 1 room that would be great but there was none.
As we were hungry we went to Hotel's restaurant and after giving a glimpse at menu we left the restaurant straight. No words spoken as we know it was quite costly.
And as per itinerary which i prepared inc best places to eat food. so we straight went to Rawat Mishtan Bhandar. it was like 7 km away from hotel. Sun was beating down hard but it was our hunger that made us to go out and have food. their we ordered Pyaz Kachori, lassi and Dosa. And it was just awesome. Best food. me and vishal had lassi and it was awesome. we wanted to have more but our stomach was full. Rates were nominal. Food was tasty. I guess after a ride this much tasty food makes your ride more enjoyable and we were happy Specially when Ladies are with you.
We returned to hotel around 1:30 PM and our rooms were ready. checked in to our rooms and straight away crashed to our beds. Will post pics of Hotel and rooms too.
After 2 hours of sleep we headed to check the city out as per itinerary, we went straight to City palace and Jantar mantar. As it was dussehra, all sites were supposed to be closed half n hour before as compared to usual time which was 5:00 PM.
We went to Jantar mantar first, ticket price was 50 per head. As it was hot out there we hardly stayed for half n hour. we headed to City palace next. Ticket cost was 130 per person. We hired guide there and spent 1 hour..by 5:00 we were free. After that we went to Hawa mahal but due to heavy traffic we skipped it and went to bappu Bazaar.
Did some shopping there and came back to hotel. Rested for 1 hour and again left for Dinner at Sethi barbeque. Again awesome place to have non veg. Great food again. This place was on my list too. we ordered Butter chicken, Rotis, Soya chaap, Mashroom curry and Tandoori chicken. Service was ok. it was worth the price.
After that we left for movie at famous Raj Mandir. Theater looked different from last time i visited. I would say experience was not same for me but for Shikha and Neha it was like new. In-fact we enjoyed a lot. Movie was Judwaa 2. Though there was nothing in movie but purpose was fulfilled to visit the Raj mandir.
Came back to Hotel around 1:00 AM, and our day 1 got end. We had Nahargarh , Amer and narsingh fort, Jal mahal and Chokhi Dhani on our list for our day 2.

Day 2:
Day 1 ended on high note with a movie and started day 2 with awesome breakfast. We got ready around 8:00 AM and headed for breakfast which was part of our package. Hotel had good arrangements for breakfast and had multiple options to choose from. it was good. multiple cuisines like north indian, south indian, juices, shakes breads, fruits. After having breakfast we started our day 2 journey with Nahargarh fort. Road was quite good and it was around 20 odd KM away from Hotel. We reached there around 10:00 AM. Parked our bulls. We were told that gates will open at 10:30. with no where to go we waited outside and at 10:30 they opened the gate. We bought 4 tickets price around 50 rupees per head. We clicked pictures there as it was HOT there. Sun was beating down hard. We clicked some pics and left for Amer fort. Vishal had visited this place before so he shared some interesting facts about the fort and i was like good Vishal as we saved 300 rupees which a guide charges there for same piece of information. We then went to Amer fort which was around 5-6 Km from Nahargarh fort. There was huge traffic. Thanks to our bulls we some how avoided the traffic. zip through the traffic like ease. Parked our bikes. Sun was at it peak. Time was around 12:30 PM. Thankfully we had our bags full of water bottles to keep ourselves hydrated. it was again nice place to visit. Although crowd was there, Amer fort no doubt is one of best fort from architecture wise and with its heritage beauty. Must be a gorgeous place in night with stars over it. It was huge and beautiful.
We went inside till the main area. On the stairs you will find vendors selling quite nice and cheap products. you will find lots of foreign tourist as well at this place for obvious reasons. Again up-to a point you can go for free but after that you have to pay for going farther. and charged were around 150 per head. Which was like 25 per head a year before. it was shocking to us how suddenly the prices had gone up. So we decided to leave from there and headed towards next place which was jal mahal.




Jal mahal was on the way to our hotel. We stopped there for few minutes at jal mahal as it was really hot & humid and time was around 2:00 PM. we re hungry at same time so we though of having lunch and another place which i had predecided to visit was new Suraj Restaurant. Again food was ok not as per expectation but it was cheap and service was good. Also at that time we were not in mood to search for good restaurants as we were really tired and we had plan to visit chokhi dhani in evening. So after having lunch we straight away went to our hotel. took rest for couple of hours and a good sleep. We were feeling refreshed and luckily weather was nice at evening. Got our bulls ready clicked some random pics and headed towards our destination chokhi dhani. We followed the route via GPS and it was around 22 KM away from hotel. Roads were good and clean. it took us around 30 minutes to reach chokhi dhani. Crowd was slowly gathering around. We parked our bulls at safe place. tucked our helmets on bike.



Ambiance was overall nice inside chokhi dhani. Vibrant colors all around. So we managed to get into the reception area where there were ticket counters. We agreed to buy tickets worth 1100 pr head as it was for Ac hall dinner. but to our surprise there were only 2 slots available to have dinner there one at 7:00 PM and another at 11:00 PM. nothing in between. So we decided to go for regular that was around 700 per head where food would be served all the time. No restrictions on timing. Only issue that it was arranged in an open area.
We spent around couple of hours exploring Chokhi Dhani. We had enjoyed watching magic shows, dance show. We played games in fact my wife Shikha won the price in one of the game. We did shopping there also as most of the items were cheap and good in quality at same time. After exploring It was around 8:30 we went for dinner. As we were walking we saw a very long queue around the dinner area. We stood in the line and our turn came around 10:45 PM. you can imagine how long queue was and then we regretted that we could have bought the tickets for AC hall dinner as it was almost same time the last slot starts. However we had good food there again. typical Rajasthani food with most of items soaked in pure ghee. They were serving butter milk also in place of curd and we had around 15-20 glasses of buttermilk. After filling up our stomach to fullest time to head back to hotel as Day 2 ends.

Next day: The start of the end

We had kept Birla temple at last before we start our return journey. We took the blessings at Birla temple. Clicked some pics and atmosphere was so nice and peaceful that we thought of sitting there for some time. but as we had followed the plan till now we left the place and headed towards hotel for breakfast.







Again breakfast was good. New options were there as compared to previous day. We tried most of the items thinking that we would stop for only 1 break in between during our return. After having breakfast we decided to leave around 11:00 AM and as usual we were on time. Had our saddle loaded on bulls. And we left with good memories , moments which we were going to cherish for our whole life. a challenged completed with joy and a new challenge for another ride. Like how it happens as one journey ends you start planning for next. Keeping memories in our heart we left. We stopped at gas station. Filled our bikes to top and had air pressure checked. Didn't wanted any last minute issues to our so far wonderful trip.
Same highways and again i was like wow ...Flowing with wind. i like the sound my bull makes while riding. like a song which we both enjoy. With only 1 break in between for lunch we reached Delhi around 4:00 PM and finally a wonderful journey ends.

Well it was a great journey although short but sweet. Gave us lot of memories and a self belief that we can cover rides by our own. Hopefully we will be making our next ride soon and more challenging.
