On the 24th of Nov 2017, I fulfilled my long awaited wish to ride from Lucknow to Anpara and back to Lucknow, a distance of 1200 odd kms.
Anpara is where I spent my childhood and completed my schooling. I have very fond memories associated with it.
Ever since I shifted to Lucknow, for higher studies, I always dreamt of riding to my hometown. It was an unfulfilled desire for me since 2009.
Unknown to my parents, I secretly harboured the wish to ride to my hometown someday. With no concrete plan and time crunch, it seemed like a dream that would be difficult task.
After all these years, I finally had an opportunity to make my dream come true this Nov. I called up my parents one fine morning and told them that I would be coming home with a friend in his car _(If I had not lied, I would not have been able to do it at all)_.
I then called one of my friend to get ready for a Ride. While he rode his KTM RC390, I rode a friends Yamaha Fz25 as I did not want to ride my Harley Street 750.
We took the following route:
*Lucknow - Raebareily - Kunda - Allahabad - Varanasi - Robertsganj - Renukoot - Anpara - Renukoot - Robertsganj - Mirzapur - Gopiganj - Allahabad - Kunda - Raebareily - Lucknow
As I entered my city, the world around me stopped for a moment. It felt unreal and after returning back to Lucknow, I am still in a daze and yet to believe that my dream had been fulfilled.
