  • [Photo Feature]: 6 Bikes and 600 kms

So after a lot of cancellations, 6 of my office buddies decided on a trip to Sakleshpur.

All of us were from different places so we fixed our common starting point as Velachery, near the Kamatchi Hospital.

Unfortunately one of our friend's Dominar had some battery issues due to which we all reached his house.

From there we started around 06:30 hrs on Friday the December 8th of 2017.

There were a total of six riders (including myself).

    2 Dominar 400s
    1 Benelli 250
    1 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350
1 Royal Enfield Bullet Electra 350
    1 Royal Enfield Classic 350

We hit our max gear and started cruising on NH46 when all of us were extremely hungry so we decided to just get into the Murugan Idli Shop on NH46 This was around 07:40 hrs.

Then once we had a light breakfast we were ready once again for cruise mode :P

Then our next stop was past Ambur at a HP Petrol Bunk around 09:40 hrs since all our bikes needed food There we took an extended break since it was awesome weather

Then we resumed our journey and after a few small breaks for the motorcycles and for us we reached Electronic City, Bengaluru for some well deserved lunch around 14:00 hrs.

Again after a few small breaks, we took a tea break around 17:10 hrs . The roads were super smooth and both the dominars hit 130kmph without breaking a sweat during that time :P But the Enfields had a hard time catching up.

The after the break we took around 3 more hours to reach Hasan which was were our resorts were located. The roads were bumpy and there was a lot of heavy vehicle traffic during the time we reach Hasan but we reached our resorts around 20:00 hrs

The next day, after exploring the resort and trying out the quad, paint ball and rifle in the resort, we had planned to go to near by places in Sakleshpur such as the Manjehalli Waterfalls, the Bisle Ghat View Point and the Manjirabad Fort.

But being lazy we started late and reached the Manjirabad Fort first.

Our next stop was the Manjehalli Waterfalls but we decided to go to the Bisle Ghat View Point since if we had gone to the Waterfalls, we would have to drive back in darkness which in mildly paved roads is not good :P.

So the next stop was the Bisle Ghat View point.

By the time we started back it was pitch dark which is what we wanted to initially avoid :P And the below video shows you how the drive back to Hasan was

Once we reached our resort it was rest and repeat since we had to start to Chennai early next day.

We had breakfast from the resort and then started to get ready to leave around 08:00 hrs Our bikes were like they were water washed. There was so much due that one would think it rained.

There was an issue with one of colleague's bike and it took us about 30 minutes to fix it. Then we were ready to roll out around 09:00 hrs.

We refueled our bikes after Hasan and started. We took small breaks and around 11:00 hrs on the out skirts of Electronic City.
One of the riders had missed his backpack so he had to do go back with one of the guys. While they went to retrieve the backpack we reached Electronic City.

After a quick stop, we reached the McDonald's at Shoolagiri while we waited for our friends to return. We had quick lunch and saw the Indian Cricket team loosing the match :P.

Once our friends joined, we resumed our Journey back to Chennai around 15:00 hrs.

Our last break was at an A2B in Arcot post which we reached ourskits of the Chennai. Then Home sweet Home around 21:00 hrs

We had done about 1900kms overall.

The trip was absolutely amazing specially the Ghat Road section although it was scary.

    Approved!

Looks like you guys had fun. Did the rider lose his backpack at Hassan or somewhere close to Bangalore?
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yeah it was a lot of fun

So my friend misplaced the backpack in a Bakery around 70kms from Electronic City.

Two of them went to get that back, while the others decided to reach McD and wait for them.
