Ohhhh sorry for the week long delay. Due to my hand im not able to write a log. But here a small writeup im managed to jot down .

Title: Mt Abu - A Hot Hot Ride
Location: Mumbai – Mt Abu, Rajasthan, India
                                Date: 30 Apr, 2009

                                Tripmeter: 1900Km

Mt Abu, finally the destination was decided for a 4 day long weekend. Since I changed my job 3 months back I had not done ny long ride this was to be a big one for me. Mt Abu, had heard bout it a lot frm friends, the monkeys are mischievous, the lakes beautiful, its always
cool up there and .... Initially there were more than 11 ppl who were goin to join us for the ride. This was not a G2G and we never done such a long ride wid so many involved. I was busy plannin on how to manage such a big group. But as usual wen the day came there were only
                                3. souls incluidin me. This was my first ride widout Anup, he was out due to some personal reason. As we were only 3 riders & rajasthan would we very hot we decided to change the location on Wednesday but then decided to stick to the original plan.

The plan was to reach ahemedabad friday early mornin. We were supposed to leave mumbai by 4.00 pm so we could cover 70% of the route @ nite. But as usual you always be late. I was not able to leave frm office early as plannned + there was some situation at office due to which I was totally disturbed. But my colleague coaxed me and prepared my mood for he ride. There was another prob, I was goin to carry a Nokia N95 along to track the route via GPS but to keep the phone alive for more than 14hrs I need a charger on my bike. Idea Forge makes cool bike chargers, ideaForge . But the problem was these were only avaiable online & the only other shop where these were available were Wadala. I removed some time from offfice & checked out the shop but as it was election day it was closed. Finally wid RazorBlade aka Gopi's help I was able to contact Idea Forge HQ and they agreed to to give me a charger. The office was located in IIT Powai campus 15 mins rde from where I work. Thx Idea Forge for makin such a cool device, if it wouldnt be for this charger we would not be able to find our route on arterial roads of Rajasthan .

I reached home around 5.00 already 1hr late, but it was ok as no one else had left. Shiva called up to say he was goin to reach by 6.30. Winzeee the sweetest guy around and the only person who values time had reached fountain hotel by 5.30. We were supposed to catch the NH8, Mumbai - Ahemadabad highway from there. I was packed up & all ready to go, started the bike & a 100mts from my place realized the front disc was not workin & the oil was leakin from the capillary tube. Real bad news as it was goin to take a long time to fix this. Updated winzee bout the prob & rushed to the mech. 1/2 & yet the bike was not ready. Then ther was a calll, a call tht would change the destiny of three riders. The call came, guess who, eight legged freak, SpiderWeb aka Rohit called up to say he was interested in joinin us. He was commin as a pillion as his bike was yet wid Hero Honda guys for repairs. On hearin this news Shiva jst ran wid his ZMA to pick up spidy from his home sweet home at Andheri. I reached fountain by 6.15. As we knew it shiva would be late due to evenin traffic me & winzee decided to buckle up & cover some ground. But there was prob shiva didnt have cash but a credit card. So we were supposed to use his CC to fuel our babes & we would pay him in cash. Our bikes were widout petrol & shiva was not there so wht to do now. Then to we decided to start rollin, as it was preety borin to wait. Jst wen I was supposed to press the start button The Cow Killer along wid The Eight Legged spider i.e Shiva & Spidy arrived. So the trio had a burden of one more rider on itz back & a rider who would make this ride a memorable one.

Will post the rest of the logs ans pics ASAP .
