I was wondering whether I should do a 500 KM's solo ride to Guwahati to meet her or board a bus or train and suprisingly I got a message in our WhatsApp group that two of my friends are going to Meghalaya on the weekend. I told them if they are starting the trip on Saturday I will also join them.
On Friday after work I started my trip to Sivasagar which was about 100 KM's away from my home. We decided to start our journey together from Sivasagar on Saturday morning as one of my friend is from Sivasagar and other one went there to meet his girlfriend.
On 18 May 2018 I started my journey to Sivasagar at 4.15 PM. On the way I met some friends and it was a great feeling to start a long journey after a long time. Wearing the riding gears, boots and backpack gave me a feeling of attaining superpowers. I was a free bird again, nothing to worry just twist the throttle and cruise all day long.

I took the way through Charaideo via Namrup to Sivasagar. I really like the way as there are many historical places by the side of the road. The views are awesome, it goes by the side of hills and historically related to the great Ahom kings. As it was getting darker I didn't stop for any photo break. It was completely dark when I reached Charaideo. I decided to stop for a tea break as I was feeling cold. The traffic was very less and I stopped by the side of the road and wore a full sleeves T-shirts. I had already crossed the town, so I stopped in a small tea stall to have tea. The shopkeeper was playing lots new tea tribe songs. He served me hot tea with cakes. He wanted to know where I bought my riding gloves and gears. I reached my uncle's place at around 8.30 PM.
