• TVS AOG Ride 2018 Starts - 30 Apache Owners Ride To Nubra Valley.

TVS starts Apache Owner Group ride to Nubra Valley. 30 TVS Apache owners will be riding to Nubra valley from Delhi in a time span of 13 days. We from xBhp would be riding along with them on our New TVS Apache RR310 and will be covering the entire ride commencing from New Delhi to Nubra Valley and back.

Being a corporate slave for a long time, I had enough reasons prompted into my life where I wanted something more pure to dictate my terms of living rather than falling a prey to the humdrum of a pathetic life. Hence, I pulled out all the courage that my system could offer and concluded that I would spend the rest of my lifetime doing something which purifies my existence- Riding. Meanwhile I had already got this dream offer from XBHP to cover the TVS AOG Nubra Valley Ride and ride along with them on a journey of 14 days from Sunny bhai. This is my story along with 40 other riders who got back home with a bag full of memories living the ride to the fulliest.

The 14 days ride circuit DELHI – MANALI – JISPA – SARCHU – TSOMORIRI - LEH – KHARDUNGLA PASS – KEYLONG - MANALI - DELHI

    Length: 3500kms Approximately

Guess what I was riding, Yes the Brand New TVS Apache RR310. Let me reframe XBHP's own brand new TVS Apache RR310 which was purchased on the occasion of XBHP's 15th Anniversary.

Day 2 of the TVS AOG Ride to Nubra Valley.

    Chandigarh To Manali

Day 2 starts with the intense rain with all 40 riders embarking their Second Leg of journey towards Nubra Valley. It was one of the longest day at work with a ride timing of more than 13 hours. With the weather being cloudy it was very hard to get any good clicks and rain making it worst. The whole gathering achieved the goal (Manali) Safe and unscratched with heaps of recollections for the day and petitioning God for another great day.

Day 3 of the TVS AOG Ride to Nubra Valley.

    Manali To Jispa

Today we start the real ride. We started off after a steaming breakfast and started off at 9am. Nevertheless to mention that riding through Rohtang pass is pretty scenic. As a rider, we have nothing but to be amazed by lush green hills, several waterfalls, grazing horses, yaks and picturesque of snow capped mountains. Every bit of it is awe-inspiring and breathless. We made a halt Rohtang Pass to grab some photographs. Although there was a lot of traffic, yet the ride was seamlessly smooth. We then crossed Gramphoo and made our way to Kokshar and started for the final halt for the day at Jispa. To my surprise, the terrain took a massive transformation as we were surrounded by patchy hills with decent coverage of greenery, tiny streams of water which we had to cross and not to forget the weather and it’s calmness. But as it was continuously raining for past couple of days, it was slushy all around. It was a very difficult job to ride throgh the slushy downstream off roads.

The real ride initiates from the 3rd day stretching a distance from Manali to Jispa. We began off after a steaming breakfast with some briefings for the day and started by 9am. In any case to specify that riding through Rohtang pass is quite picturesque. As a rider, we don't have anything yet to be stunned by rich green slopes, a few cascades, brushing ponies, yaks and beautiful of snow topped mountains. All of it is spectacular and winded. We made an end Rohtang Pass to get a few photos. Despite the fact that there was a ton of movement, yet the ride was consistently smooth.

We at that point crossed Gramphoo and advanced toward Kokshar and began for the last stop for the day at Jispa. Shockingly, the landscape accepting a huge change as we were encompassed by inconsistent slopes with OK scope of greenery, little floods of water which we needed to cross and not to overlook the climate and it's serenity. In any case, as it was consistently raining for recent days, it was slushy all around. It was an extremely troublesome activity to ride through the slushy downstream goes dirt road romping. Finally on achieving Jispa, we helped ourselves into our regarded camps ended the day. Individuals near me know the amount I cherish outdoors. So this was the upbeat me, I set out for some photography and exploration. A camp fire at the night made it a casual end of Day 3.

    Day 4

    Jispa to Sarchu

Day 4 Jispa to Sarchu. The ride from Jispa to Sarchu is around 86 kms and will take 5-6 hours relying upon the quantity of breaks you take and how regularly you end to catch the landscape which shifts from being corroded to sketchy green at places. Begun at early hours from Jispa in light of the fact that we were eager to see the lakes that we would appear to be we ride.

Finally getting ample amount of time to shoot with some of the riders.

It wasn't well before we achieved Deepak Tal. Deepak Taal is a little lake and you can stroll around it in full hover in 15-20 minutes yet this doesn't make it any lesser in excellence. There is some open space appropriate on the banks of the lake and in the event that you are conveying your own outdoors adapt, it is an ideal place to set up your portable shelter. Before long we were at Baralacha Pass, our second most astounding elevation pass. I was expecting snow yet it was scarcely secured.

The red beast looked so stunning.

We crossed Baralacha La soon. Road so far in the enterprise was half dreadful, 25% OK and 25% incredible yet as we moved towards Sarchu, conditions rotted, limiting our speed to only 15-20 kms/hour. As it dusked, the sight was basically astounding with the brilliant tone and the view started getting better as soon as we reached Sarchu. We went to move for the last end of the day, at Sarachu. Tired body and brain until the point that we came to there. Be that as it may, when we achieved Sarchu we were welcomed with magnificent infertile scenes.

On reaching Sarachu, the temperatures dropped to as low as -6 degrees during the night time. You essentially do not feel the drop because of the star trail blanketing the entire sky. So I headed straight out to a pitch dark place and tried my bit of star trail. On achieving Sarachu, the temperatures dropped to as low as - 6 degrees amid the evening time. My first night click by Samsung S7edge

When I came to back to my tent in the wake of eating I began feeling extremely awkward. I disregarded it supposing it would have been the fiery supper we had anyway inside at some point I began getting chest torment. It was horrible as though somebody had punched me hard on my chest. The specialists came and discovered my Oxygen level had radically dropped to 44(Normal is 75 and underneath 40 a human would be dead). This alarmed the TS authorities. At that point abruptly nearly everybody had same issues. The oxygen level went down to 60's for everybody. Mine was just at 44. Later we discovered on the grounds that I went out to get the night shots AMS kicked on me severely. So giving me some medicines they requested that I rest. In any case, little did I knew it would be a restless nig.

    Day 5
Day 5 Sarchu To Leh. Probably the toughest day of the ride. We had to get up as early as 5 am and start as the oxygen level for everyone was decreasing. We all were having heavy chest pains and breathing issues. Slowly we started for Leh, had to take ample amount of breaks. A few odd 10 15kms and the weather suddenly started changing. It was suddenly hot, very very hot. Now this place we reached called More Plains. One word for this place, mesmerizing. We had a photography session and soon headed out for Leh.

The view was suddenly getting better. I wanted to stop at every beautiful landscape and start clicking as many photos I could. This is where the beautifully paved tarmac road starts. Now let me mention about this man hear Vinod Babu Corporate Manager TVS motors. One hell of a guy. We bonded up very well and decide to try some cornering skill as the roads were very tempting. And exactly what we did for the rest of the day.

Day I was enjoying the Photographer inside me.

We reached Leh much early than we expected. This is where I met the very famous Bala Krishnan, now he is heading the corporate communications team for TVS. I have heard a lot about him especially from Vinod. One gem of a person and a go to person from the ride. P.S - we shared a very good rapport by the end of the ride. Next day being a rest day we had a wonderful session and tlk with everyone around the team which ends the day five.

Stay Tuned for the next part and some stunning photographs.

          Day 6

Day 6, Leh. It was a rest day for everyone but not for me. I went out with the TVS official for a photo shoot. Now let me tell you if you really want to see the beauty of Leh town and get some good photos clicked, the Leh Kargil highway is the best place. Undoublty the best high with such natural beauty and some wonderfully paved roads. We covered the War memorial, the Baba Gurudwara and the famous Magnetic hill which had no magnetic influence when we tried it out.

I was then joined by a few other riders at the Shanti Stupa. It started to become dark and I headed towards the hotel. Evening was well spent around Leh town shopping and hoping for street food. We came back to the hotel by 9pm only to find that we had a Gala dinner ready for us. It was a ling night again, music, dance, singing is what made it special. Called it a day at around 1am at the night.

Stay tuned for the best and the most beautiful place of the entire ride "Nurba Valley"
