Re: my solo journey to mustang-nepal from delhi -on platina Himalayan - hundred cc -

Good to see more people realising the potential of these machines, I've started interstate touring on the Discover 100 4G back in 2013 and it got me hooked real bad, was never able to shake off the ecstatic feeling so when I got the chance I went back to the 100cc club by getting myself a CT100B which incidentally runs off the same motor as your Platina.

I've done the Golden Quadrilateral circuit starting from Kerala on my steed riding with my friend and fellow xBhpian alongside his Bullet 500.

I've also attached a picture of other friends (more like brothers) who're also xBhpians who tour the country on small displacement Motorcycles when we met during our overnight stay in West Bengal. The bond between small displacement tourers is nothing like the rest of the lot, we're more like family in the true sense, the guy on the right is Shubham, he once visited me on his Platina 125 which he rode down to Kerala when I was bed-ridden, and once they knew I was in WB they immediately set out to meet us at our hotel in short notice as to not hinder our ride plans, all I can say is that I'm blessed to have met people like them all thanks to our passion for small displacement machines and touring.

Also attaching a few pictures from the road, one of them was snapped by the Budh International Circuit and the other at the India Gate, New Delhi.

I hope that we'd cross paths on the highways some day. Because as far as 100cc touring goes, only a few have experienced the thrill and the rest are oblivious to how addictive these machines can be.

For the uninitiated it's the stuff you read in motorcycle novels. Once you're hooked, you're hooked for life, my tour spec P220 whose now become my garage queen after the CT100B came into my life knows the feeling a little too well.

crossing kali gandaki(gandak) by bike was bit scary.though water level was not above 20 inch.but due to some boulders on riverbed i had to be very cautious. once when i was coming back from muktinath my bike got stuck in kali gandki.no one was near me. i felt helpless.i tried a lot lot. that i again i got down in water with difficulty. my shoes were filled with water .i pulled bike with my full strenth than it was out of danger..i felt relaxed.to go to muktinath i had to cross kali gandki 2times.though these are small streams but Click image for larger version

[emoji1305]Amazing it is...really admirable. [emoji1303]I am relatively new to solo ride. Whenever I see such adventures on small bikes, a curiosity arises, if solo travellers are good at mechanics level too ? Coz I guess there are certain chances that bike gets some issue and nobody is near. Last morning I was just about to take off from home for a 120 km solo ride and bike which has no kick, wasn't starting, so I felt a little helpless coz I am not good at mechanics part.
What do you feel ? Did you face any such issue and how did you deal with it ?
