ID:	1966561on 9th we were suddenly told that the rally will begin from kargil and will have to report 5 am in kargil but before that its must to attend the briefing at hotel in Leh around 6 pm . and than we can leave for kargil than is 220 kilometer far from leh. and it will take at least 5 hours to reach kargil from leh .we will be forced to ride in subzero temperature . there were mostly participants who came along their service vehicle .they loaded their vehicle in their trucks and reached kargil safely with ease but at least 10 participants started from leh around 7.30 pm .. i was alone because i did not know any one as well as i ride at relatively fast pace so after a 6 hour ride in subzero temperature i reached kargil around 1 am --रेस कारगिल में सुबह , 7 बजे शुरू होगी।इसलिए लेह से कारगिल जा रहा हूँ।पहले लेह से शुरू होनी थी लेकिन रूट बदल गया।100 किलोमीटर चल चुका, 130 और[one of my facebook post..]

Re: My Raid de Himalaya endeavour with a stock motorcycle- Hero Xtreme 200

on first day of raid i came to knew that all the participants have installed a different jet in there carburetor to suck more oxygen due to high altitude .rest of the competitors had motorcycles with fuel injection. i was unaware of this trick so speed of my motorcycle was less due to less oxygen

              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

around 1 am i reached kargil city .it was subzero temperature over there.i spent night in hotel .other [participants were also in same hotel i asked them about the morning programme of rally. in morning we have to get up at 5 am and report at rally starting point. there was 70 kilometer transport stage. than there was a 67 kilometer competitive stage from sankhu village to drass .it was a dirt road made by Indian army during kargil war as an alternate to drass to leh highway to avoid Pakistani shelling .it was first day of race i was quite excited. we had to go to the starting point in 2 hour so there was enough time to reach sankhu village. local people new about rally so they were also excited and waving us

              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

leg one started from sankhu village of kargil.we had to go to drass via a dirt road. at many places there was fresh snow. i was the last one to complete this stage . we had to cover 70 kilometer distance
