  • [Photo Feature]: Day 1 (22nd December)--> Ride to Kumta

Once the trip was planned, I got my NS 200 serviced on 21st and we were ready for the ride. We have used saddle and tank bag from GODS and trust me they were like the other partners in our crime.

We have used Gods Triton X2 Saddle Bag and GODS Zeon R2 tank bag.

We started our ride early morning around 5 o'clock from Bangalore and we took the Bangalore – Pune highways. It was very foggy till 7:30 AM. The first half was pretty good till we reached Havery Bypass. We took a small deviation and headed towards Srisi - Haveri Road. The road was good for the first half .But once we touched Sirsi – Kumta Road, it was getting worse and we felt tired in last 150kms.

The stay what we took is in Kumta known as 5 Mile beach resort as we want to avoid the crowd. The view from our hotel was breathtaking as it had a private beach. We sat quietly in the beach and headed to our tent for rest.

Year end ride to Gokarna -Welcome new year 2019

      Day 2 (23rd December)àYana and Mahabaleshwar Visit:-

We woke up early in the morning but we have decided to headed to Yana around 7am as we thought it was only 38KM from our hotel. But we were wrong!! There were 2 Parking lots location for Yana in Google map. I will suggest all to follow the Vibhooti Falls route as hiking to Yana is much lesser as compared to the 38KM route( We have done almost 2KM hike). But This short route also include off roading for around 7 KMS and which is really fun. And if anyone loves hiking then the follow this route. The view of the caves and rock formation is breathtaking. We spent almost 4-5 hours in Yana as it was tiring. We headed back to hotel and fall asleep. In the evening we headed to Gokarna to pay visit to Mahabaleshwar Temple. It was crowded. Though in many places it is written that they are very authentic about dress code, ITS NOT!! You can wear anything as the security person will ask you to remove your upper body cloths and enter the temple (Applicable only for Male. No restriction for female). It was OK as compared to the hype. We had our dinner near Kumta and back to hotel.

      ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Day 3(24th December)àMurudeshwara and Mirzan Fort Visit:-
We have headed to Murudeshwara early in the morning as we knew that the temple doors will be open before 9 AM. We reached there around 8 -30. The Temple looks really fascinating and the location is refreshing. We entered the temple and it was worth the visit and chanting. We met a lot of kids from some school .We had some very good quick conversation like “Bro we saw ur NS200 outside and it is very nice. You two looks very nice in the riding gear J”.It was pure praise.

After uploading a 1 MASALA DOSA and 1 Plate POORI in KAMATH near Murudeshwara, we headed towards Mirzan Fort. The sun was on top and it was tremendously hot. But visit to Mirzan is something that should not be missed. The old fort formation, Grass on the stones, the architecture is worth to visit. I had a nap for 15 mins in the fort under the shadow of a pillar. Then we headed to Hotel

As we had some time in the afternoon, we though to visit Kudle and Main Beach. I think we went early when sun was high and due to which it was less crowded. We waited there for almost 3 hours and clicked some snaps. It was relaxing.
We had our dinned on the way to Kumta and fall asleep as our journey to Home starts next day

Day 4(25th December)àHeading to Home via JOG falls and Bhadra Reservoir:-

We have started our Journey from Kumta around 6 AM as we have planned to visit JOG fall and Bhadra reservoir on the go. It was a far better route via State Highway compared to National Highway. We did our first stop at Jog falls and we were not disappointed. We did not visit the bottom of the falls as we were short in time. Our next stop was Bhadra Reservoir. This is the only drawback in our planned trip as they did not allow us to take the bile near to it and I could not keep my bike away as we had our saddle bags in there. So we dropped the plan and headed to Bnagalore.

The route was really good and breezy. I did not feel tired and started pushing my beast. We almost completed 400 KM in 5 hours. But then the war started with the high speed competitive cars in Hassan Highway and severe Traffic in the city. It took almost 3 hours to complete the other odd 100KMs and we were exhausted. Finally around 6-30PM we reached home

It was heck of a ride as this was my first long trip with my wife. The Bike and the MRF tubeless tyres have done a tremendous job and not a single issue was reported. I did average of 90KM/hour and trust me I got a mileage of approx. 44KM/ltr which is pretty good. I have 5M lubricator for my chain and got the head light bulb changed to night eye LED
