This is a recent trip I have did to the Spiti valley.
It was intended to be a solo ride, however I found 2 more riders on the way and completed it in a group of three.
As the route from Kaza to Manali was still closed (April), same route was taken for the return.
Route taken/places visited.
Day 1 : Gurgaon to Narkanda
Day 2 : Narkanda to Sangla
Day 3 : Sangla to chitkul to Sangla
Day 4 : Chitkul to Tabo
Day 5 : Tabo to Kaza (Langza, Hikkim, komic) to Tabo
Day 6 : Tabo to Gue to Rampur-bashar
Day 7 : Rampur to Delhi
Skiped exploring Kibber and Nako, due to less number of days in hand and focus was to visit the highest Post-Office
Road Conditions:
1. Few patches after Jeori which are broken
2. Slushy around 10 kms before Tapri (this sends mud and slush post afternoon)
3. Road broken in patches between Peo, Akpa, Spillow and Puh ( 20% of the entire distance )
4. After Khab bridge the road to Nako is under constructions ( 5-7 kms of bad roads )
5. After Sumdo, the road is rough in patches till Shichling ( 10-15% )
6. Last 26 kms till Kaza would 40% rough and rest all OK
7. Hikkim, Komic, Langza roads were in really bad shape, too much slush because of melting snow.
...Will soon be uploading the detailed Travelogue, for now enjoy the Pictures : )
