Day 1
Approx.346 km
Delhi –Garh Mukteshwar – Rampur – Kaladungi – Kathgodam – Bhimtal – Mukteshwar
We started at 6:30 am, keeping in mind the traffic which will go along with us to the mountains. The air started to become warmer post 7 am, traffic was building on road & construction works were ongoing like in Masuri, Ghaziabad where a kilometre long flyover work is on and you will find traffic. Our first stop was at Bikanervala, Gajraula a neat & clean family restaurant. For this ride,we had packed small bag with bungee cords. After this stop the highway was good and we took 5 minute stops for water & rest to body after each hour, crossed Bhimtal around 11:30 am & headed for Mukteshwar.
On our way in hills with small bag pack
Visited famous Mukteshwar Maharaj temple & Chauli ki Jhali, they both are next to each other & a must visit.
Our home stay was at Panchachuli House, it had great view and cosy comfortable rooms (Bad access road of around 200 meters of sand). Even panchachuli peaks were visible from here. Here are some pictures

Day 2
Approx.– 104 km
Mukteshwar– Kausani
We started early post breakfast and were advised to take Mukteshwar–Shaitla road for Almora. This road/ area is restricted by govt of India & entry is required to cross via this lush green forest area for over 10 kilometre stretch with great green background (images attached below). Tank was re-filled on ourway via Almora where we had picked famous Chocolate barfi of Almora from Kheem Singh (best & oldest shop). We planned to keep our stay cheap in Kausani asall hotels looked same and we were not looking for comfort. It was our first time and we were tired, so skipped visiting Baijnath temple and opted to enjoy sunset & sunrise only. Our home stay guy asked for 1550 and we bargained to 1400. Meals were at Garden restaurant which is good place to have coffee and conversation.

Day 3
Approx– 430+ km
Kausani– Almora – Nainital – Kathgodam – Haldwani – Rudrapur – Rampur – Hapur – Delhi
We had planned to leave early for Delhi, opted to have breakfast in Nainital. Sunrise was up at 5:22 am from behind Panchachuli peaks and we started at 6 am. There was cool breeze in air, kids were going to school & we reached Nainital around 9:30 am with good road condition. Mistakenly took wrong side on one way road and paid 200 rs challan (memory now, but please do not do this as it is not advised). Photos below

Please note – While coming back to Delhi, we had to come via Haldwani because of some VIP route, please do not take Haldwani to Rudrapur road as major construction work is going on. We were home safely by 6 pm though, with good memories and few sour as the day was long.
Conclusion – The Bike is great purchase, super sexy in revving for both plains &mountains. More than adequate power, with 250-300 kms range. Pillion comfort is not a problem if you have gel seating for longer rides.
