After this we rode ahead and after crossing Merrut stopped at a dhaba for tea and some light snacks…. But then only Gods decided to play some game and hence comes the rain……. Okie it wasgetting stormy and raining heavily…… We started thinking, but once our destination is fixed and we already on our way…so with heavy rain and winds we decided we will proceed once the rain gets a bit relaxed……. We covered our bags with plastic bags of BIG Bazaar… thanks Big Bazaar for making so BIG plastic bags…and then got our steed in shelter… Scratching our head and me smoking with a cup of tea thinking what to do now……. I was in two minds as this was my cousins first long ride so didn’t even wanted to take any unwanted risk……
We decided to have breakfast their only so that we can ride a bit more….. so we started eating and like normal I asked my cousin what he says…. So he asked my opinion and straight away I said “mein toh dhanolti ke liye nikala hoon toh jaunga hee chahe barish ho chahe bearish na hoo he went silent for sometime. Well after breakfast I was looking at the sky and praying to God ….to show some mercy on your creation…. And after sometime the rains turned into drizzle…I was like thank you God…..then asked my cousin if he is okie to ride in this drizzle…he said he wont be able to speed upto 60kmph in this weather. I was like okie wherever you want you can speed up…as I would be behind him this time what we call as sweeper.. so we left and apart from few smoke and butt breaks we didn’t stop for long till we were in Rishikesh…. God was so helpful in giving us the beautiful weather with few drizzle and cool wind flowing…that the ride looked so much at ease and also coz of below 60kmph at times……. Well once we started climbing towards Chamba from Rishikesh…we got amazing view… I would better not bore more and let you all have the pics…….

my cousin was getting angry on me as got him till here without proper lunch

Nice ride there. Good to see that people still tour with an RX and that too easily. How did your RX perform?

Am pretty certain that the Eterno did not give any problems.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@Shiv: I see you had taken the Rishikesh route. Any specific reasons for not taking the NH-1 route (Delhi - Karnal - Pipli - Paonta Sahib - YamunaNagar - Herbertpur - Dehradun - Mussoorie)?
                :)

nothing in particular Aryan Da... we wanted to have bath in Haridwar and go by Rishikesh as its more hill ride that ways (my persumption), but then rain spoilt and we got behind schedule so couldnt have bath at Haridwar but felt the hill riding zoooooooooom in our bloods

Alright. Thanks for the prompt reply. I asked out of curiosity, as whenever I have ridden to Mussoorie - Dhanaulti, I have ALWAYS taken the NH-1 route. I don't quite like riding through UP.

Anyhow, enough of this. Show us the rest of the pictures, and ofcourse let's continue with the wonderful text.

I suppose this is a longer route. But I guess it has better roads. I have not taken this route. Have you done both?

Yes, a few times while riding back to Delhi, I have taken the Meerut route. I don't really like the route because of the mad traffic, and also the road conditions. I am not sure how the roads are as of now.

The NH-1 obviously is a marvelous piece of tarmac. From Pipli till Paonta-Sahib, it is good, with a few REALLY bad stretches. Otherwise, the road is really good.

Hey Shivi...... I somehow like riding i rains and just after rain. well riding in rain, if it is summer time would cool you off and save you from the road heat, after the rains, especially in hills, well, the whole place becomes more green, properly decorated with freshness. though rains definitely possess some threat and is generally not welcomed by drivers and riders.

anyways, its all my personal choice. lovely pics I must say....... and especially a lot of them are not just simple Aim and shoot..... you have done a good job with the lens, what camera did you use? also, how much time did it take you to reach Rishikesh, I might well go in there this weekend...Hopefully!!!

and yes, we have a lot of people on xBhp who are the humanized version of Google map, or say Google search! Old Fox, Ken, Hitanshu, Kurt Rules, Akshay are few I know of!!! would love to see your name in this list ...Cheers!!
