  • Is it a good time to visit Narkanda?

    Hi All,

I am planning to go to Narkanda for 2-3 days with few friends in June end or may be July first week. Just wanted to ask if this will be a good time to visit the place and will it be feasible to visit Hatu Peak during this time because someone told me that melting snow can obstruct the ways. If not Narkanda then please suggest some other good and non-crowded hill station that can be done in 2-3 days because I really want to visit one in June end.

    Topic Approved.

Me and DCS rode through Narkanda while riding to Spiti Valley on the 19th of last month, and the place seemed really good. Nice, cool weather with great vistas. June-July must be good, I say, although it might quite obviously, rain.
    :)

Mate! Narkanda is a good, quite small place to go.
as for the Hatu Peak, dont expect to see snow. It may be cool but not cold enough to spot any snow or obstruction in the way due to snow melting.
I went earlier in Jan end and spotted Black ice just 2 kms before Hatu Peak, in Mid May, there was absolutely no snow, and last week of may was same as before, no snow again.

Go ahead, without any fear of snow, black Ice, enjoy the cool/cold breeze.
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!
