First of all I want to inform you all that i am Writing something online after 14 Years after I stopped Blogging. So please Bear with me. Do share your Feedback and suggestion. This will be more of a photologgggue than a travelogue.

Over the Last 10 Years I have been riding many places and share the input with my circle, But never intended to posted anywhere or do a write up As I Do my things on a silent way J. I got the Feel to Write after my Chennai-Bhutan Ride as there where many Query’s asked by people & Friends on the details of the ride. But never got the Urge to sit down and Type managed to answer all the query via WhatsApp and FB.
But this time I am going to Write, Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guessed it.

    New Year Resolution

About Me in Shot I am from Chennai, I Love Travelling Photography & Ride Ride in Shot…After By Chennai- Bhutan Ride in FEB’18 went for Spiti in Jun’18 , Singapore & Malaysia in OCT’18 , Everest Base – Gokyo Trek in April’19 and Recently this SRI LANKA in DEC’19.

You can Check my short Bhutan Video on the Link :-

    Hope you Like it.

Coming to This Log, Our Initial Plan was to Do NE ( as that’s the one thing pending on our List in India, Due to 3 week Leave and other situation we droped it again J ). But Finally we ended in SRI LANKA. When we googled to get input about Srilanka bike ride there was no content ( For Long ride ) to my bad luck. But we decided to go for it.

Why SRI LANKA ? No Reason Frankly But it has a close connection to all of us People, Language, Food, Religion whatever you Call it

    Riders:-

    1 - Muthu
    2 - Arun Kombai
    3 - KunthanRaj ( My Self )

    Hunting for Rental Company:-

After a lot of Research we decided to go with Club Sha Lanka at Negambo, He was so help full and reachable. He had a good collection of Reliable Bikes with him and the Review was good too. After lot of discussion we decided to Go with Honda XR250 & Yamaha TW225.
Sha was so nice he just trusted us did not even asked for Advance when we asked to Block the Bike for US J.

    Srilanka Licenses:-

    There are 3 option available
Option 1 :- If you hold International driving permit, it needs stamped by AA Ceylon Colombo office.
Option 2 :- Applying temp permit with your country license. All Foreign country driving license are invalid to drive in Sri Lanka.
Option 3 :-Ignore this Option. But some tourists ride or drive in Sri Lanka without any legal documents at their own risk and return safely without any problems. Bribe Speaks

We opted for Option 2, Club Sha helped on the Temp license and the insurance formality.

Applying for ETA & Ticket Booking :-

It’s a Rule to Apply for ETA and get it approved before Landing in SriLanka. Everything is Online.
But the Catch is, there are 2-3 Website where we can Apply for this All are under Srilanka government. But only one Website Does not charge Money for Indian as it is Free others change you 60$ each.

    The Itinerary Plan :-

We were Actually Clue less where to Go which is safe at one point, But Motive is to Go and Explore the Unknown. Most prefer to travel Central part of Lanka, But we want to go Around Srilanka Specially NORTH ( Eelam ). Slowly we planned to bring shape to Itinerary with just one moto AROUND SRILANKA J

Stay Tuned Will keep you updated.

Will stay tunes for the next update as the location chosen by you is not a common one despite being so close to the Indian shores!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
