Alright so let's begin with this travelogue. I live in Jorhat, Assam and have recently started a Biking Community Here in Jorhat. I, Alongside with one of my younger brother decided to go on a trip to Haflong, Assam.
The place is surrounded by the beautiful North Cachar Hills.
The name "Haflong" is a Dimasa word meaning "Ant Hill". Which is located in the Dima Hasao District of Assam.
We started our Journey From Jorhat At around 3:30AM in the morning as the Roads are way too worst from Jorhat to Kaziranga Assam. The day was Saptami, 23rd of October.
The two of us so decided to cross the worst roads as early as possible and meet the other three members at Nagaon, Assam which is around 184.6KM from Jorhat.
We reached Nagaon by around 8 am and Met the other three members.
From there we headed towards Lumding which was 95KM from Nagaon and Then Had breakfast there and after that we left for Haflong. Which was 123.7KM ride.
Faced one difficulty all the way was the continuous usher of the rain. But there was this excitement to watch the hills so we didn't think much about it and proceeded.
The curves of the roads were just so amazing. Really loved it alot.
We were 5 people now driving on our motorbikes which consisted of 2 Pulsar RS 200, 1 Royal Enfield Thunderbird, 1 Pulsar 180 and My Pulsar NS 160.
Before we entered the Haflong district we have hurdled through the bad roads which were not even and also as it was raining we were also Driving way too slow.
And the streets weren't visible as was surrounded by fog and mainly the clouds.
Another problem that we have faced was the lack of gas station and online payment options. So i would rather suggest that if you ever visit that place, try to evade rainy rides and also take some cash with you. And also fillup the gas whenever you cross a gas station.
Anyways, the next was the local site seeing trip. We went through a tunnel which is named Nrimbangloa Tunnel
And then we went to Circuit house to watch the beautiful hills;
Followed by Abraham View point;
Jatinga View Point ;
An abandoned railway station
On the way back home we had clicked a lot of random pictures. I would love to share them as well:
And one more thing, Try not to have food in the hotels where you stay [emoji38] We have searched for a restaurant where the food is better than the ones on the hotels.
The name is Bobho Restaurant. The food there was delicious.
Anyways, we returned back home on Sunday which was 25th of October and yes, planning to go there again as we missed a few places.
Thank You [emoji4]
