    Help: 2 day ride to srisailam

    Hi friends..Im planning a ride to Srisailam this weekend with my friends....
    Im posting here so anybody could help me out with the places i can visit there....Is a single day sufficient to visit all the places or 2 days are required.....

    Plz help me guys so that i can make this trip a memorable one...

      @considering the fact that you will be starting off from guntur, 2 days wouldnt be quite sufficient.

      Guntur-macherla-n.sagar-lbnagar-srisailam highway. Close to 500-550kms.


      Its your choice now.
      There are Bikers

          Yeah! This is the correct route. Two days are very much enough to see the places around there.

                  Thats Interesting, you want to visit it from Dornala side. The roads shud be ghat sections near to Srisailam, The places will be the Dam and what else..............may be if you want to come towards the Hyderabad side there will be more ghat sections and at some place there is a water fall some side off the main road. I have also heard that the road between Srisailam and Nagarjuna sagar in the Guntur district side is interesting in the sense less inhabited and more forest area and if you are the guy who likes that challenge then nothing like it.
                  May be in two days you can cover Nagarjunasagar and srisailam ,

                  Ride safe.

                    As far as I remember I have seen signboards showing Srisailam as 120km from Nagarjuna Sagar and guntur comes on the way between them. You can visit Mallela theertham waterfalls near srisailam. If you are the adventure freak, you can trek to the top of the falls as I did with my friends. I've heard that there is white water rafting somewhere around srisailam. You can check that out as well. If you start early in the morning then you can do this in one day else two days would be more than sufficient.

                      The route from Guntur to Srisailam is 302km, via Narsaraopet, Vinukonda and Dornala. If you go via Nagarjuna Sagar, then the route is 362km long.

                        thanks for the info........so it seems i have to ride to hyderabad side of the ghat sections to visit the waterfalls......will have to take a note of that...

                              Moeed, the distance quoted from that link is the dsitance the Krishna river takes - the reference is to the boat ride between the Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam dams. Srisailam is upstream of Nagarjuna Sagar.
