Very well thought out Bunny... its great to see people who plan their trips out in detail and in advance rather than some last minute mumbo jumbo... all the best!

@ reactor : It sure does pains but not same as it is in plains.
I would never suggest you to carry the lightest of a weight on ur back in hills.
Trust me guys I keep on doing same mistake and repaying myself in latter days of my journey.

Hey Bunny u r welcome yaar.
But at times prior planning is must and at times its useless as well.
Road to kaurik is open besides you will have to get the pass for this road at sumdo which is maintained by army.
And no nightstay is allowed besides you can go and come back but then ur whole itineary changes according to it.
I will say we can sit and make it in a way that it is not like a time challenge which it certainly looks like after having a look at whole plan and doing it as on same strech roads are not present and you will driving at a strech of boulders with 12kms for 1 hour.

Sounds really exciting. I think I am a probable here. But I will have to figure out how to get a bike over from bangy to delhi to join you folks. Plus I don't have a mile-eater currently. But there is some time and I am going to do some furious thinking. Either way, all the best guys.

youu cannot enter into tibet/china under any circumstance. the best one can manage is a permit till near the border which is obtained after a lot of begging and pleading ...

@nik - hmm... so how much can one go on this kaurik road b4 tibet starts? i think kaurik must be an imp area coz on the distance markers in himachal, kaurik n its distance is always mentioned.
