Welcome to xBhp Forums v2020

Welcome to 2020 Edition of the xBhp Forums . As you might have already noticed, the forums have undergone a major upgrade to keep up with the times. This will make the forums faster and intuitive and much more mobile friendly.

The basic functioning of the forum remains the same.

We are still tightening the loose nuts and bolts and it will take some time.

    [Photo Feature]: High & Dry Under a Beautiful Waterfall!

    On 21st June, Me, Devilboy & another friend took our steeds & headed towards a much talked about destination near the Indo-Bangladesh border. Its a beautiful Waterfall known as Byrdaw Falls near Pomshutia Village in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya (The Abode of Clouds!)!

    The Trip was a breeze, tho to reach the waterfall, we had to walk bout 2 Kms and the path was very steep and slippery like an eel. And even though me and Devilboy had army boots on, we faced a lot of problem on the way. Just one wrong step and we would have gone all the way down on our bum. he he he...

    Anyway, Here comes the pics... And before i forget, let me tell You all that there is a wide path under the waterfall, through which you can walk from one end of the waterfall to the other end. Hence the heading of this thread! ;-) Enjoy them and do leave your footprints behind. Would really appreciate it!

    Beautiful falls there. Looks like you are riding quite a bit these days. Could you give us a few more details of how many kms etc. Thanks for sharing.

      Well, Yes! We the local xBhp group along with some friends have a g2g almost every week for a short burst of speed. And if the group is not going anywhere, I do join in with Devilboy and Dark Angel (The other friend on the above trip, tho not on xBhp yet) do make it a point to hit the tarmac at least once during the weekend. The Best Way to beat off the Tension of a hectic week. lol...

      Well, the place is about 73 Kms from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. About 70 Kms is motorable, 1 Km is bikeable and the rest 2 Kms is by walk. Tho, i would surely like to suggest here that anyone planning to visit this beautiful place to have a good pair of shoes with very good grip on slippery rock. No smooth, high or pencil heels. lol...

      Btw, last weekend we had another g2g and the pics are still awaiting uploading. Besides, i had a very hectic weekend this week cos of work and i reached home around 1:00 am on Saturday. But that did not deter me from joining the g2g even though they already had a 5 Kms lead over me. ;-)

                    @Dragon: Lovely ride you guys had there, yet again. Although, I have heard quite a lot about the Byrdaw Falls, but I did not get the opportunity to ride there. Perhaps, the next time I am in Shillong, I will make it a point to ride down there.

                      There you go again Dragon.....hehehhehe...
                      I love the heavenly pics too. The curves are awesome though the road is very narrow, covered with bushes all along from "Lad Burma" to "Pomshutia" village.

                      Looks like we are gonna burn more fuels and eat more xbhp server space.

                      @ all: More will be coming from the Shillong xbhpians side about the ride to the same spot-the Byrdaw Falls, in bigger number of bikers as well.

                      @Shivanshu: well m planning to head for the same spot again but from different angle, perhaps climbing down to the lowest portion of the fall. lets see.

                            Actually, the above pics were taken with my cellphone. I just hope that the picture quality is doing justice to the beautiful Nature of Meghalaya. The pics Devilboy spoke about are from a Digicam, so they would be far better, i guess!
