A big poultry farm, its huge in size, you r seeing only one poultry house...there are 11 more..

          at last we reached Keonjhar.

The OTDC Panthanivas, where we stayed.

The OTDC Panthanivas is situated on a very peaceful location and the view was also good. After some rest we are ready to explore Keonjhar. The place has many sight seeing points like Sanghagra falls, Barghagra falls, Murgamahadev temple, Gonasika hills, Kanjhari dam etc. But as we do not have enough time to explore all the places in just a one night trip, so we decided to visit only sanghagra and kanjhari. The other places are situated in a distance of 27-54kms from Keonjhar except Barghagra which was 4 kms away.
on the way to sanghagra on NH6

a lake, inside Sanghagra falls park

          Sanghagra falls

Umm, sounds nice Bhaskar, but that is my plan for the next five years. Next year I'm planning a visit to the states of Punjab and Himachal. I will wait another couple of years to get Leh'ed.

One thing I needed to ask: how was the floods situation on the way back from BBSR to Kolkata? Any signs on the NH? And which road did you take, the one that goes through Jaleshwar?

not to worry about the floods at all. Massive rain has stopped there and we took NH60 from Kahragpur. Go straight via NH6 from Kolkata and you will be entered in NH60 autometically. NH60 was started from Balasore from the Chennai side i;e; if you are coming from BBSR then you will entered in NH60 from NH5 at Balasore.

                      yes, NH60goes via Jaleshwar.

                        Kanjhari dam

                        A temple on NH215

                        Shops around temple

We reached Jajpur around 10am and from there we entered in NH5 the smooth 4 lane stretch.
Took lunch at this dhaba near Bhadrak

After Bhadrak the NH5 turned in to single carriage with lot of diversion up to Balasore. We reached Balasore at 1:15pm. Then we go Chandipur sea beach, just 17kms from NH5. Chandipur is Defence area.
                        Chandipur

After some exploration in Chandipur we are back on NH5 soon. Just after Balasore the Single carriage turns in to NH60's smooth finish. It was one of the best road in India. NH60 spread up to Ranigunje via Kharagpur. We took NH6 from Kharagpur. Covered Balasore to home within 6hrs.

Yes, go straight via Kona Expressway and take Left turn at the end of Kona Expressway. You will be entered in NH6 and that road takes you to kharagpur.

Thank God that you didn't ride to the other side of Keonjhar, towards Deogarh-Sambalpur. It was a bone-rattling experience to me.
