Yes, good to see you touring on cd100! Waiting eagerly for the rest. The photographs remind me of my childhood and youth days!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                  Prologue :
This trip was planned 3 weeks before, room for a night at a hotel was booked 2 weeks before, I had my ride then, but 2 days before the tour I sold my bike. I completely forgot about the trip when I sold it. Later on when I remembered I had no choices left but to take my 8 years old HH CD100ss to the trip. This one was my first bike, now a day my dad ride it sometimes. So the plan got fixed. This time no other members of RoadRollers (RoadRollers - Motorcycle Adventure Tourers) were coming as they were going to for a solar eclipse ride. So my college friends, who now turned to be colleagues, were coming with me. We were going to Henry Island and its neighbor beaches.

                  The Men and Machines:
Rahul (Yamaha FZ), Me (CD100ss) and Dibyendu (My Pillion)
Pictures taken by Fuji s2000Hd, and most of them are not edited

                  The Map:

                  Day1:
                  Distance Covered : 270 km
I woke up at 0345 hours. I was supposed to start from my home at 0500 hours. I had to travel 70 km from my home and then meet the others. I never woke up so early in my life, still got ready with louse eyes. I started from my home and after going 15kms I came to know what I was not carrying with me, the booking slips of your room at that hotel. So came back home again. The road in between was just empty, no trucks, no buses, not a single vehicle, like I was the only person traveling. However I reached Kolkata at 0715 hours. Distance covered 70 km.

I met my fellow bikers there who were waiting for me eagerly. Had a quick chit chat and then started for our destination. But we were hungry, this time the roads were unknown for me, so I didn’t know if there were any good hotels or dhaba along the road. But after traveling 30kms we found one. Time was 1000 hours. Had little breakfast, made some phone calls, bought some bottles of water and were on the roads again. As monsoon has already hit Bengal, the greenery of Bengal came visible on the both sides of the road; the road was a narrow one but was fun to ride as there was less traffic.

We stopped in between only for butt breaks for 5-10 minutes twice. But as I was riding an old machine I had to maintain a speed of 60-65 km ph all the time. So it took almost 6 hours to cover 200 km, we finally reached a place called Namkhana at 1200 hours. There was a small river which we needed to cross, but the thing was there was not bridge; we had to cross it on a boat along with our bikes.

It took 5 minutes only to cross the river (I forgot its name). After crossing it, we found a beautiful tarmac. Distance left to Henry Island was 24 km only. So we hurried up, as we were eagerly waiting to dive into the sea. But we stopped again for some photo shoot. Rahul was clicking some picture of is FZ because he has to submit some of the photos to yamaha for some contest, and I helped him too.

Finally we reached our hotel at 1330 hours. We were already burnt and looking like aliens. We decided to take rest that afternoon and then in evening we would visit the surrounding places, but it didn't happen. The place where we stayed was like little cottages scattered around, it was a West Bengal government's property. Actually it was of fishery departments. Government made a hotel for the tourers. There was a watch tower beside our room, this was used to watch the whole place and a part of the sea. Some pictures from the watch tower are below

                  and the room we stayed

P.S -- More beautiful snaps to come.....believe me
