Nice introductory pictures. Totally incoherent with the topic though. But nice nonetheless!
Will be waiting for the rest.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Why this trip ?
A 'Wayanad trip' was planned by me and Ananth. I was ready and spent a whole day to prepare my bike for the trip. But before 6 hrs of the trip, problem came in form of rain water, Ananth's bike drunk some rain water and it wasn't starting, so we cancelled the plan at last hour. This was 4th time cancelling trips consecutively. So all I need is a trip. I heard that Sholayaar dam was full and water was released on 21st which is a rare thing and I never saw it before. Then I planned to do a trip to the dam to overcome the lust to ride .
I didn’t called any of my friends coz don’t want to hear ‘Sorry urgent work da’ , ‘Can we do it tomorrow’, ‘Surely we will go next week’. After a small confusion on Saturday morning to do it alone or not, started from home @ 10:30AM. Informed to mom that I’m going to Monkey falls to take some photos to use in a travels site am designing and will return by 3PM. Took my digicam, a towel and some polythene bags to protect electronic things from rain.
When starting decided not to take photos of usual places at foothills , so I can reach Sholyaar asap.
I worried whether the Forest guards at Check post will allow me since am riding bike and alone. 10days before they refused to allow 8 boys in 4 bikes. Reached check post @ 11:00AM, but they asked no questions and issued me the ticket. Relieved and started to ride speed since the roads are dry and good. Reached Monkey falls in some 5mins and went to take photos. But it was crowded and I planned to take photos while returning.
My next stop was at 9th hairpin bend, Loam’s view. Spent 15-20 mins by taking photos of the dam, chatting with a group of guys abt bike and munnar route, allowing them to pose and take photos with my bike. Started with a thrill by seeing the misty mountain’s top and expecting rain in few bends ahead.

Panorama shot of aliyaar dam.

But it was just cloudy, and with minimal traffic, I maintained 40-50km/hr speed. Stopped at few bends to snap some greenery around.

Then stopped after 27th bend (Tiger Valley) to take some photos of the greenish hills. Spent 15mins by taking photos and discussing with HD workers abt the rain and leeches.

Within half a km there came by favorite pit stop :P ‘Waterfall tea estate – Tea Shop’, from where the tea estates starts . The place was wonderful as usual and I ordered a cup of tea. While waiting for tea took some photos. The ppl at the tea shop became good friends as a result of my past visits. Reserved 4 packets of tea powder and informed, will pick it while returning .

After a bend I found a small water fall, this is the first time am seeing water in that place. Took some photos, while I was about to resume riding I started to drizzle. Kept mobile, cam, papers in the polythene bags, started with excitement to ride in rain.

But the rain lasted for 5mins and stopped when I was taking photos. When I turned back I found mist is covering the hills within secs. I felt bad that just missed the mist and heading towards next hill. Took photos and started again.

To be continued...................
