Since the thread wasn't up till now I was planning to start one soon and the name I was gonna use is "Bikers became Kids..!" Even DK suggested something like this.. But what a name.. fundoo..!

Nice pics there... Loved the bushman pic.. hehe.. Bibek simply rocks.. Another sure shot entertainer for any ride.. Thanx for all the TP bibek.. Real open hearted fella..

The name of the thread says it all.. Socha tha kuch aur.. aur hua kuch aur...

The pretext is, I am burried under some real heavy family responsibilities these days.. Therefore it's been months since I last rode with my fellow Mumbai xbhpians..

DK was quite excited for a long ride in this long weekend. He was asking everyone bout the plans and he himself had a plan of going to Karnataka but since he came back from their Birthday Party G2G last week, he and some other mumbai xbhpians weren't feeling well.. Down with cough, cold, headache etc etc.. But DK bhau managed to overcome the illness and was all charged up for a big ride. HE posted on the forum but there wasn't much response to his post as I mentioned most of the riders were down with flu. He was disappointed and he started searching the Pune thread for any rides being planned there. but I guess he was disappointed there as well.

I talked to him on friday asking him bout any ride he has planned. But there wasn't any ride he said. So I told him that I'll ride to Panvel on Sat or Sun to meet him as I wanted to discuss a few things with him. He agreed. We decided to meet on Sunday.

But then on Sunday morning at 6am Shadowboy called me up saying that we are going somewhere for a very small ride. Get ready and meet us at Panvel McD at 7am. I was like..... I didnt even have enough cash with me. But still I quickly got up and after doing the routine checks hit the road to Panvel. Got a bit Sorry for that guys.

When I reached Panvel McD, there was Shadow with DK, Beru bhai, Durvesh and Gaurav - The MBC guy(xBhp id Mechanic). Greeted everyone and then asked what is the destination? There were confused between 2 places. Kashid and Kamshet.

Finally we decided to leave for Kamshet as Kashid was quite a regular place for us. Meanwhile we got the news tht Bibek is also coming. So we waited there chatting for sometime and Bibek Babu arrived with his new Cross Helmet. Greeted the Ram man with a head bang and quickly left the place as heat was picking up.

NH4 is like brain feeded to every group member. We were cruising at moderate 85-90kmph while DK bhau zoomed ahead with Gaurav's modded R15. Up ahead in the Lonavala ghat we stopped at our usual meeting point just where the Expressway starts. I remember there's a hilarious pic of Ram man Bibek.. Bero ji post it soon. A small group of bikers were going towards pune and they were quite impressed by our group of fully geared up bikers.

We hit the road once again after a small sutta break and boy o boy.. was the highway crowded. Quite some traffic load on the Pune expressway and the road towards Mumbai was jam packed. Bumper to bumber traffic. We were riding in zig zag manner finding way through the slow moving traffic before getting into the left most lane and then kept moving ahead in a constant speed.

Once we reached Lonavala, DK bhau pulled over in front of a small Tapri for morning snacks. People in that tapri was seeing aliens in front of them Everyone was hungry and so we had Misile Pav and Wada Usal.. But yack.. the Wada usal was pathetic.. Khate hi pet mein gud gud hone laga..

That refreshing break was over soon and we hit the highway once again eating the distance towards Kamshet. It didnt take us long to reach Kamshet and Gaurav who was leading stopped to confirm the detour. Once confirmed, we took the right turn and left the highway to a small village road. It was in pathetic condition with lots of pot holes and brocken patches. Some part of the tarmac was in good condition but then there was lot of gravel on it so of no use. R15s were dancing on those roads while the 200 and 220 were easily crusing ahead with their wide tyres. The destination was futher than we all expected. After riding for sometime our eyes desperately started searching for the glimps of the Dam. And after doing so much off roadish riding we saw the huge dam.. But heck the dam doors were closed. For a moment I thought we rode so much distance just to see these walls..? But soon I was proved wrong as we climbed the hill which takes us directly on the dam. And man... I HAD NEVER SEEN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL WATER BODY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.. I AM FROM GOA AND STILL I CAN SAY THIS WATER BODY LOOKED MUCH MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN MOST OF THE GOA BEACHES.

The water was crystal clear and very calm. Shere size of that lake gave an idea of so much Kinetic energy is held back by those dam doors. But another disappointed was that we weren't allowed to walk on the dam. DK was badly pissed off cursing them.. Just as we were thinking of taking a U turn some of the guys suggested to go ahead and check out the lake side restro.. We moved ahead and the place where we reached can just be termed Paradise..

A beautiful lake.. Clean crstal clear water.. a Boat club.. Beautiful restro right on the bank.. Absolutely no crowd at all.. Ducks flying around.. cool breeze blowing at 12 noon.. What more could we ask for?

We all went crazy.. literally transformed into small kids.. Bibek and DK were just too cool.. hahahaha.. Running after the Ducks.. Splashing water.. Posing at unimaginable places and poses(I dont know if all those poses'll posted here or not..).

We asked the hotel fella bout the boating and what we came to know.. Rs. 30 per person for a big boat ride(Family boat) and Rs.80 per person for a speed boat ride. Another great attraction there is the lodge. It's located on the other side of the lake some 5 kms through the water.The only way to reach there is by boat. Rooms cost you from Rs. 2000/- but the boat ride to that place costs Rs.1400/ itself..

We spent some real good time before leaving the place and we decided to go at the bottom of the Dam on the other side where the river starts to flow and take some rest under a tree on the river bank. On the way bought some Chilled COLD DRINKS

Once we got hold of the much needed cold drinks, we headed to find a nice place to sit and have the cold drinks. We pulled over at a point but then there wasn't any proper place where we could sit and enjoy so we moved ahead.. Crossed a small bridge which goes over the River and finally found a nice place. Did some off roading to reach the place where we parked our bikes. See the pic posted above with the name River side parking. Walked a few feet ahead and found a nice big tree right on the bank of the river. Sat there for quite some time finished the cold drinks and then DK wanted to have a dip into the river. But no one was carrying extra clothes so everyone was reluctant in the beginning but then one by one DK, Bibek and Rohit stripped to bare minimum and plunged into the water.. Bibek was going bonkers in the river.. Like a child.. Pics and videos will tell you more bout it. They all were enjoying there company in the water and under the water.. They were continuously calling us in the water but no clothes to change later on was holding us back. But then after some time Shadow stripped and joined the crazyness in the water. I was busy clicking the pics under the scorching sun and was sweating like hell. Couldn't resist myself from going into that clean and very cold water. So now even I was into the water and boy it was damn cold.I got a chance to swim after so long. It was total fun.

We were into the river for approx 45 mins or so.. Then everyone got out and wanted to dry themselves. We were sleeping under the sun on the grass and the soaring heat dried all of us in minutes. Got the clothes on and we were ready to hit the road again.

I have shot a vid while one by one was taking their bikes out of that place. See the first post. Tht's where DK and Ashish decided to take a short cut and DK missed a real bad crash. Everyone ran to the rescue and nothing much happened. Once everyone back in shape we started the return journey and decided to use the inner road which takes us directly to Lonavala which was around 15-20 kms away from the place. The road was as I said in bad condition. We moved ahead making our way slowly and we reached a place where the road was carved through 2 huge walls of mountains.. Atleast 40 feet tall. What a place.. We couldn't help but stopping there for some pics and fun. DK again went crazy.. The Batman was back in action and bat started flying and searching a spot to hang upside down. Pics will tell you more bout it.. Biru, Bibek u listening? Took some realy nice shots of bike lineup.

Left the place in sometime and reached lonavala. Riding through Lonavala village was a pathetic experience. Insane people with no road sense scattered all over. Somehow dragged our ass out of that place and reached the highway and went straight to Hotel RK. Food was mind blowing. We were taken into the conference room which was converted into a normal hotel space. It was jam packed and each and every person in that room stopped their activity and stared at us as we all 7 walked inside with the riding gears. Boy..that was fun

Finished our lunch and then Gaurav got a call from his friends and he left us and went to Amby valley. Not it was just 5 bikes. There was a huge group of thumpers which left some time before we left the place. I quickly tanked up and started the return trip. All our return trips are usually faster.. We all were crusing at very high speeds. Specially I was enjoying the rip fest to it's fullest. Very few times the speedo came down under 90kmph. Crossed the expressway and reached Khopoli. From there on Durvesh on his 220 and I was on a mission.. We were constantly doing 110-115+kmph.. Damn fun it was. We covered the distance in unbelievably short time. Reached the Toll naka before Panvel and stopped for the rest of the guys to arrive. They too reached within minutes.Took a small sutta break and started the trip. I had told everyone that now am gonna slow down as fuel is low on my bike and I let DK, Shadow and Bibek to be in front while Durvesh was at the tail behind my bike. We road a few meters ahead and then a mishap happened. I leave the decision to the seniors DK Ashish and others whether to mention it or not. I dont mind if they mention it here but let's not make a fuss of it.

That incident took some valuable time out of us and we started the ride again after some time. Finding our way through the city traffic past Panvel we reached home by 7.30pm

For me it's sure one of the most memorable trips of my life.. Can't forget it for a long long time. Thanx all you guys for everything.. The fun, the company and the support. Mumbai xBhp is really one of a kind.. Proud to be a part of such a team. My wishes to all you guys of riding thousands and thousand miles in your life.. Ride Safe! Ride long...!
