            Day 3 log: Chennai - Bangalore ~ 400kms (Total 2074 kms)

The next morning started at 9:30am (courtsey my alarm and calls from both my mom and my girl friend asking if i had left). Though it had been raining heavily since last night, I was up-n-ready in 30min with my raincoat on. Took me another 15 mins to bid goodbye to Jawed, to get my bag strapped and hit the roads I again. My heartiest thanks to Jawed and his wife for the warm hospitality(especially for the much needed late night food).

To keep things in the "moving" perspective, all I needed was a tank-full at the nearest possible pump which was done in hardly sometime. And there I was back on the highways. But, my speed was confined to 80kmph coz of the heavy rains which continued till the next 150kms(approx). Finally the Rain-God had pity on me and ma sexy babe and it felt good to be back at 100+....

As I wanted to reach bangalore by 4pm, I kept my pace all the way and just stopped once at a dhaaba roughly 70kms before Bangalore. Buzzed my friend and brother in Bangalore and updated them with my whereabouts. As I was eating, the owner of the dhaba came up with his set of questions - "from where are you riding sirrrrr ?" and he was quite in a shock when I told him "Calcutta". And then he threw another set of questions asking about the physical and the mental
challenges I would have, I am and I'll be facing coz of the long ride of 2.5days. Somehow, I loved answering all those. The lunch was quite good and the palak paneer was yummy ... Now the only thing remaining was a much-needed a fag break and those 5 mins felt like "the most releaving 5 mins of ma life".... NIRVANA !!!

Anyways, back to the riding log - after an air-pressure check, I moved towards bangalore without any hurry as it was only 3pm. I was doing
70kmph and enjoying the scenic view. The road was amazing with beautiful greenery, mountain stretches at irregular intervals. All in all, the highway(cant recall the number) was a pleasure to ride on.

Finally I reached bangalore bang on target(at 4 pm) and it took about 15min to find my brother's place in 5th Block, Koramangala. Then called my friend who lives at stone-throw distance from there. It felt so good after meeting him as it had been 4.5yrs since we had seen each other "in flesh"(def with non-"gay" point of view, kinda best of friends so the feelings can't be penned down in here). I was kinda enjoying the reaction that I was getting from my brother. He was shocked that i rode all the way to Bangalore as all this time he had the impression that i was joking. He just stood at his shop ( Zypsy's Casual, Opp Paramount Hotel) in a shocked state, staring at me and the first words from his mouth were "you are one crazy guy" . Anyways, he was happy to see me after such a long time and the feeling was mutual.

            Stastics of the entire ride:
            Distance covered : 2074 kms
Fuel "utilized" : haven't traced this till yet, will update as soon as I get to know the figures.
Total money spent: INR 3700 ( includes feeding myself, accomodation, fuel and last not the least "ciggi" )

            Stay tuned, pics coming soon.

            Over and Out !!
            Gibran aka bikemanic

PS: I'm not very good when it comes to writing logs so had asked Jawed to write the day 1 and 2 log . As for Day 3, I outsourced( going the bangalore IT way ) the work to ankit aka psycobiker

You guys don't need comments... it's really awesome, at the end of the logs when i see Total kms a day - 888, 801 etc. i was like what the hell... once i did a 440kms in a day, my butt and all my body was like...
You guys showed us that R15 can also be good at touring... may be the other way around, you guys can do touring in a track bike also...
@Jawed... you said you was not carrying the rain coat with you... for such a long long rides, you forgot to take one of the important riding gear, that's a shame, you should have taken that...
                            Anyways congrats bro's...

                            Ride Long, Ride Safe...

Trust me, the R15 is more comfortable while touring than most people think of.

BTW, the butt hurts only for about a 100 KMs between 350-550 KMs during the trip. It then goes numb helping you to enjoy the ride

Hey Gibran, I need a rough budget estimate. What is the minimum price one can reach Chennai in...? Once I get that, I can start pataofying my dad for letting me go for a trackday...
                                You get the point?? :D
