Abt going from M'lore to Hyd',
don't take the direct route... the roads are bad and boring..less said the better
Go to B'lore and then to Hyd'bad:
Advantages, you will have a better stop over, you can meet B'lore xbhpians , and the roads are good

It rains heavily in the coastal region during those months, let me assure you you dont want to be driving there during rain, its hot and sweaty too!!
Not much of rain in B'lore and Hyd'bad (compared to coastal regions like m'lore)

By the looks of your planning and dates (june/july) I think I can join you from M'lore to Hyd'bad

well the roads from b'lore to m'lore are not all that bad.it is only a stertch of 10kmthat is bad.
the ghats section are ok in the night and day time not much of a traffic.

well yes it does rain in b'lore-m'lore between june/july.but it is really worst driving in the rain on the b'lore-m'lore highway.

the price in bangalore is about Rs 44.08.i know that sucks big time!!!

                Hiii. bunny...

Petrol cost in Maharashtra.. is aprox Rs. 43/- to 45/-

Mumbai to Goa.. you can use NH17... very good road lots of Ghats and bends...

About June and july..month... hey it's kokan region...rains heavily.

About Stop over in mahad or chiploon.. these are very small.. Village (towns)...there are lots of small lodges and hotels are available.. But try to be there before 8.00PM

                Checkout http://www.konkandarshan.com/ for more information.

If you are planning a trip in South India.. I suggest you should plan for October onwards..

                Regards

Petrol is 39 in Daman/Diu. ~43 here, while Delhi is something like 38!
                        Himatnagar and Valsad are safe.

If Ahmedabad lies on the route Del-Mum .. count me in!
