                            Brings back old memories for me as I had been there more than 20 years back on a college trip. Back then my pissy Agfa-III camera only had 12 frames, which I exhausted in Talakad & Bluff falls. So could not take any snaps at Somnathpur.

                            The workmanship in Somnathpur temple is amazing although some of it has been vandalized thru the ages. And although most trourists go to Halebid & Belur, Somnathpur takes a back seat, but its really worth a trip to this place.

                              Yes that's what caught my interest, good architecture and very few tourists. There was a festival going on at Tallakad that week and there was a huge crowd. Moreover there was some VIP arriving, for who there was heavy security. Hence, skipped Tallakad. Would be riding there again in the coming weekends.
