Yes,it is.it is a ride of a life time. what is a ride means,some say its a tour of few thousand kms,some say its some achievement.i am taking about the later here.
Hi all,this is dr.vivek mukherjee writing for the very first time in xbhp about a log of our tour,please forgive me,as u may not like my writing style,as I told before ,this is my first occasion.
Its about a small ride which happened very suddenly on the day of a normal day of December,8th to be exact.
The preface starts few days back as my child hood (CHADDI)friend mr.snigdhangsu datta,who owns a lovely blue pulsy 150ug2 started talking to me about a big trip in dec- jan. As I was very busy doing my mbbs in manipal Sikkim,we were unable to do a ride together which was our dream from the beginning of our biking days.
As I came back to my home place last year after completing my mbbs,with my beloved pulser 180 ug 2 red,we were planning.
Suddenly,there is a twist in first week of september,my friend snigdhanshu(phew...long name,sona from here)told me his blue pulsy is smoking too much smoke after 80km/h speed and as the bike already did 952378kms on odo,he thought,its a risk to take this belove bike on long tours. So what to do?There is a say in SRKs movie ,AGAR APP KOI CHEEZ KO SACCHE DIL SE CHHAHO ,TO PURI KAYANATH LAGJATI HAI USE APSE MILANE KO.its the same story here also.we started lookin to sell his bike and finally settled for 31k for his bike which was not bad at all.......now as I am having too much free time these days I generally wake up late ….11.30am -1 pm
.
now the real story beguines.... on 8 th of dec my friend sona,a biker with no bike came to me at morning 10 o clock and told that he wants my bike ,because he wants to buy a new p 220 dtsi,and for the official work ,he needs the vehicle. I gave him the keys and I dropped to bed once again as I was too much sleepy(as if its only midnight,lol).he went.
Suddenly 12 o clock he called me on my cell , I picked up after several rings,and started to use slangs on him on phone as he is disturbing me time and again.he returned some slangs back by which my sleep went off completely.
He was telling that there is only one blue p 220 in local show room and that's also booked. can u imagine!!!he also told tat show room people told it will take one week at least to get a new bike !!!
in the heights of frustration ,we decided not to weast our time and go to KOLKATTA which is 120kms away from our place ,burdwan westbengal.the roads are golden quadrilateral. Nice 4 lane exp way.
We [Bdecided to leave around 1 .30pm.but sona is bit ????? about time maitanence!!!!around 1.45 pm my other friend mr.asim called me up and he listend to our plan and decided to join on our quest...
at 2 .15 pm we started coolly from home. me and sona on my p 180 ,and asim on his cbf stunner. around 2.40 pm ,when we were on the highway ,i suddenly saw one red bullet electra 5s with flashy alloys started to race us,2 guys with full face lids they were riding 110kms+.asim started to race.i thought its bad idea to race. so I did a trick ,,,,i went in parallel with the bull and showd them thumbs up to them,and also some hand gestures about how beautifull there bike was.this did the trick.we found out that those guys in bull are perfect gentleman,they were coming back from TARAPITH which is a very well known temple in west bengal.we started ridin all together in a convoy.it was a scene,3 bikes with fully dressed bikers ,full face tinted lids,we attarcted too much attaction on highway. We went upto a place called bally,then the bull rider went on bally bridge and we started to ride on nh 6 and then we entered kolkatta through cona exp way through second hoogly bridge.we went to bajaj show room , took our bike ,cliked some pics,took the delivery of sonas blue p 220 dtsi,his pride and joy.as it was becoming dark we started the journey to burdwan.as the bike was new it was painfull time for sona as he was stuck at 50 kph only......run in thik se karna hai na.we did a small photo shoot at a place called palsit toll plaza.
Now we are ready for our main trip in jan to digha-chandipur-puri.till then ,this is dr vivek aka drvmtm sinin off.take care.comments are more then welcome........
