I am not carrying a laptop for this trip so chances for the live update is minimal.But i will try posting the logs on the same day if it possible as I realy wanted to record the fresh feel and experience then and there.

the plan looks neat, but looks like you might be pushing yourself. when you are visiting muliyangiri why not kemmangundi and bababudangiri.

why do you want to travel to coimbatore and ride back to chikamagulur.instead, ask your friends to join you in bangs,which means 1 day used as a spare day, any delays and you should not be baffeled.

Please carry a spare Clutch Cable / Battery-Fuse / Tyre-Tube and a Puncture Repair Kit.

Also as Steve said, I guess 12 days will take a toll on the body - Have a reserve day and take ample breaks where ever possible.

I completely agree with you.I can join them in chikmagalur or mysorebut I wanted to start along with my friends and moreover I wanted to see my bro's kid and my parents,so i am going to coimbatore.Added ooty for more fun.

And I know Day 1 ,6 and 7 are bit tough considering the female crowd with us, but they all had done 2 mock trips 400 to 500 kms per day(Coimbatore to trichy -coimbatore and Coimbatore to chennai-mahabs-coimbatore ) last week and all felt comfortable. so i am confident

Coimbatore is my home town and all my friends are there in coimbtore at present. I planned purposely like that so that i can meet up with some friends and relatives also to spend atleast a day at my sweet home

Sorry for the delayed updates.I am currently in goa Anjuna Beach.

I am trying to copy the photos to my pen drive which is taking so much time.

Just a quick update, Will upload the photos and log as soon as i reach home.

Day 0: One of my friend on 22nd december called me and told he is joining with me for the ride to coimbatore as he has some work.

Slept by 2.00 am at my friends place in Electronic city and woke up by 5.30. started by 6.Took the nice and joined the mysore road.

Reached Mysore by 9.00 am.Had Break fast at Dasprakash.
started by 10.30 and took a break on the way to nanjangud.after this point it was slow leisurely ride

Next stop was in masinagudi for a tea, Saw lot of cyclists on the way.Roads from mysore near bandipur was not good. Kind of ok.Road work is going on.

Stopped again in view point for sometime and again started. My TBTS performed flawlessly and I downsshifted to 1 st gear in only one or 2 instances.This is really good given the steepy ghats.

Reached ooty in another 45 mins. Had lunch (90 rs buffet) near maruthi cottages. Had around 1 to 1.5 hours break and again stared to metupalayam via coonor , vandisolai,kotagiri. Roads are good.Traffic was less.

Again took a tea break.Reached coimbatore by 5.00 PM. one among the 8 of us backed out in the last minute so only 7 riders and 4 bikes.

TBTS 2
STD 500 1 (SOLO AND LUGGAGE )
KARIZMA 1

Day 1: started by 6.30. Standard 500 had a puncture near Punjai puliyam patti in sathyamangalam road. Stopped in sathyamangalam for break fast.
On the dimbam ghats Std 500 had over heating problem twice and we were forced to take unexpected long breaks. after dimbam ghats i took over the stad 500.

Reached mysore by 1. Dropped females in mysore palace and went to a mechanic shed in mysore.his name was raju. He said clutch plate is gone and thats the reason for overheating problem and so we changed it.

after that had lunch and started by 4.00 pm from mysore

Road to hassan was too good. we planned to cover hassan belur halebidu and halt in chikmagalur for the day 1. But we halted in hassan


Day 2: Fun ride

Reached belur and went to belur temple after breakfast. and then to mullain giri via chikmagalur.construction work is going on and so we stopped 3 kms after seetagiri amd returned. came back and had lunch at chikmagalur, started to agumbe.

it was very good ride , curvy roads and we were footscraping at all the bends. Reached agumbe and hlted for the day. we had very good dinner at doddumane (kasturi akka) and stayed at her sisters place as her place was full. the house is just opposite to doddumane.

Day 3: we decided not to do amboli ghats as girls were complaining it just ride ride and just ride.so we decided to take a different route. so we took the following route

agumbe -someshwar-turn left 6 kms before kollur to join NH17 at baindur-karwar. Halted in Karwar

Day 4 and 5 goa : Anjuna beach-Baga beach-calangute

Day 6: 29 December. Plnning to go to mangalore.

Or we might go to dandeli

Not yet decided. Going to take bath and good sleep will decide when we start the ride tomorrow.
