Nice trip Jonak. Were the far reaches of northern Sikkim still open in December? A friend of mine went to Gangtok but did not go to Gurudogmar lake due to lack of time.Comment

Now you cannot go to Nathu-la and those high altitude places ...high snowfall there and no passes are being given there to tourist!

I too have to do north Sikkim again in two years time. This time in summer.
All roads are still open. This site ( Roads Bridges ) is really helpful.
