Some morepics that I came across and believe are worthwhile sharing:

        A sand mountain en-route Tabo:

An huge inscription on the mountain surface

        Somewhere between Tabo and Kaza

        Just Before Malling

        Ice Wall!

@Kurt: Did you manage to reach Chandratal? It's in my list for SO long now; last year could not do it as Kunzum was closed. This year, it's my top priority as soon as the roads re-open.
            :)

Aryan, the road to Chandraaal was blocked some 7 kms before the lake; Hence I could not reach it. And it is my priority as well, coupled with Zanskar

@Kurt: Damn! People do seem to have tough time reaching Chandratal, more so, as the road conditions up there are not really known beforehand. It is only when one is really at a close range does he/ she get to know that the roads ahead are closed!

Anyhow, this year (2010), Chandratal WILL be conquered.
                :)
