Had a conference and had to go to HYD urgently. The first thing that came to my mind was BLR to HYD on the flight no 250 of Ninja airlines. It's been 2 and half months since the last trip on my r15. Plan was to start early in the afternoon of Feb1 and again start for Bangalore on Feb 3 night. Route taken:
Bangalore - Chikballapur - Anantpur - Gooty - Kurnool - Hyderabad (NH7)
Vehicle:- Ninja
Passenger:- Me
Kms. done (door to door):- Around 1300.
Fuel consumption:- 37 Litres.
Fuel Efficiency:- 37.3
Day1:-
Started from Nagarbhavi Layout at 1:00 pm as planned. The reason for little late departure was to avoid the incoming volvos from Hyderabad to Bangalore after Devanhalli since the road is without the dividers after that. Around Bangalore International Airport. After Devanhalli there are lot of diversions. Four lane construction of NH-7 is underway and only one side of the road is operational. However the quality of the road laid is new and in good condition. Therefore one can easily speed up if traffic is less. I was able to do around 110 easily but had to often slow down because of diversion. On one stretch I touched 160 for the first time in my Ninja.
Somewhere near Penukonda
Reached Gooty at 2:15 pm and took a chota break at Bharat peroleum Dhaba.
Started again at 2:40 pm towards Kurnool.
Just after Gooty town.

This was my second time on this highway and I can say that I'm highly impressed with the work going on. I don't know since when it has started but it looks as if it is about to complete. I could see that work in most of the stretch was over. Once it is four laned, travelling between this stretch will be joy and then one can easily start in the afternoon from Bangalore and reach Hyderabad in the night. Sorry for the quality of the photographs as I forgot my digicam and all the pictures were shot from my N85.

Unfortunate victims of my need for speed.
Reached at the outskirts of Hyderabad around 7:30 pm, as there was an accident near Antapur and the road was jamed. Spent there an hour remembering bangalore. Hyderabad has a lot of traffic density. Had biryani at bawarchi and retired for the day.
Day2:-
Spent the time at the conference.
Day 3:-Spent the whole morning being bored to death itching to get back on my flight. Started at 7.00pm ( scheduled to get out of the office at 5.30). Stuck in horrible traffic lost an hour. Luckily lost my road and ended up on the Jawaharlal Nehru express way. Runway of my dreams. With my Ninja lights blazing took off and ripped the whole 25 kms in 15 min
Had dinner there at Baba Dhaba and started again at 9:00 pm. Since there were very few vehicles on the road I could manage a good speed. Halted again at Gooty for the midnight pickme up 1:15 am. Started again at 1:45 pm and reached home at 5:30 am.
