Yet another day, yet another ride.RIDES & THE RIDERS:(Hunk & Splendor+ from Chandigarh to Shimla)

    That's me...

    Karan & Priyansh

Getting ready for the ride at 0500hrs..

    At Murthal...

    Our machines at Sukhdev Dhaba!

    More of them...

    Awesome!

    The City Beautiful indeed...

    The rider himself...

The next stop was Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh. It was 05:30PM in the evening & a perfect time to visit the lake. Sukhna Lake is a beautiful lake that lies in the foothills of Shivalik range. The unique thing about Sukhna is that it is a manmade lake. It is a 3 km long lake that was created in the year 1958. People visit this place in the morning to enjoy the cool breeze and the beauty of nature. Chandigarh Sukhna Lake serves as a great picnic spot and an apt place for pursuing water sport activities like boating, yachting and water skiing etc. The atmosphere here is very serene, so if you need to rejuvenate yourself, then Sukhna Lake is the perfect destination for you.

    The dusky side...

That's how Solan looks like at 01:33AM

    Priyansh, posing hard in shade!

The sky was blue-black & we were looking to reach Shimla, that was still 28kms away, in an hour from then. Thw others were no where to be seen. Karan called up some of the guys, but at those heights our prepaid networks died. So, with a cumulative decision, we rolled down the heights by ourselves & reached Shimla riding with an average speed of 40kmph at 03:50AM in the morning. My bike rolled down 368kms.

    The route followed:

    Shimla!

    Sunrise in Shimla...

    The Shimla Township...

    Shimla

    The Queen of Hills...

    Our place to stay!!

    From the hotel room...

    The pines..!
Note: Entry of vehicles is banned on the Mall road.

    Here, we are wanderers!

    They were the companions...

Nice trip there, but the quality of the photographs leaves much to be desired. Did you guys use a mobile phone cam to shoot the photos? I ask, because to be really able to heartily participate in this contest, the quality of the photographs need to be good, apart from the text of course (which I liked, but only in parts).

The pics posted in this blog were shot by a Nokia N70's 2MP lens.. That's what I had & as long as the contest is concerned, I thought my text could fill the space left by the 2MP quality pics!

Nice one Rahul. One suggestion: When out on such rides, you should practise taking more pics of the natural beauty and less of the team and the bikes. That way it will add more value. My two cents.

                Keep riding and posting

I've done enough with a 2MP lens.. Shortly I'm gonna have a sophisticated cam n then things will better for sure! And one thing, travelogue's are not always about framing natural beauty.. I'd prefer clicking what I feel gives meaning to my roadtrip.. No offense!

When did I say that travelogues are all about clicking natural beauty? Mind you, I also give more emphasis to the text because that describes your feelings minute by minute, rather than the pics. All I said was that some good pics can add more value.

Please don't get flustered over what I have mentioned. The suggestion was made after going through your log, and was in good spirit. So it should be taken in good spirit as well.

However, it seems like you are averse to taking suggestions, and thus that will be taken into consideration henceforth.
