This trip is before I got married when the world was like a wide open road for me. We group of friends decided to go to goa again for holidays & fun. But this time I proposed to my friend to go on the bike. As we both were crazy for rides. So finally Me, Elvis, Sav & Ivy decided to go to goa on the bike. Me & Elvis were the solo riders all the way till our destination. The love for our bikes came true for me on this ride and I will never forget this one.
Got up morning at 3:30 am, everybody started getting ready and we were out on the road by 4:30 am to be precise.
After some 10 odd kilometers we realized that Ivan forgot his discman at my place, and we were like ***what the
My friend Sav was really quiet at the moment as he knew that the rider should never be disturbed while riding at high speeds. Also to mention he was sleeping at times. I came to know that he was sleeping coz his helmet used to knock on my helmet all the time whenever I applied brakes. We stopped at a roadside dhaba/ hotel for our lunch and proceeded from there on. Now as we were closing in on our destination all our bottoms were feeling uncomfortable due to sweat and being summer season. We used to stand for sumtime and managed our way out.
When we reached towards the border of goa. We stopped at the 1st available bar to celebrate our first ever long ride and reaching over there safely. It was in the evening at around sevenish that we left from the bar and headed towards candolim area where my friends house is. After reaching his place I just collapsed on the bed and my friends did all the cleaning of the room. We had a nice long talk, had booze, food and then went off to sleep.
This log might not sound very descriptive, but I have tried my best of what I could remember.
We are planning to make a trip again but dunno when.
During my early days of riding I never knew about safety, protection, riding manners, etc.
But since I have joined XBHP I have learnt a lot. Thanks to XBHP.
